he sure didn't have too
A second season would be nice. It sure was one strange concept of having soda cans changing into girls. The best thing was still Najimi who was just as perverted as Kakeru. I do hope that they can improve the story a bit though.

I just watched the Akikan! OVA, which was a melontastic blast.......I enjoyed the ecchi-ness of it all.

Its doubtful that it would get a 2nd season but if it were ever announced, I would greatly look forward to it.

Since you commented on it, I decided to take a look... to be honest it was pretty good overall, but I really didn't need Otoya to do what he did (if he did) at the end... omg...

has the light novels have any translations? (does Haruka Nogizaka have any too?)

and I'm pretty sure Ive read this part of your post a while ago before I even posted here XD

I preferred my post to be in the new page. ~~that's off-topic~~

Anyways, as far as I know there are no translations for Akikan's light novels...I don't know about the Haruka Nogizaka though.

I just marathoned this series today. I liked it but the animation could have been better and the fact that not really much happened......episode 10 was a BIG-TIME filler.....I didn't expect that since there was only 2 episodes after that. Episode 11 was great and episode 12 was funny and I liked how they wrapped up the 1st season. I was hoping Kakeru would become Miku's new owner.....that damn cat.

I'll watch the OVA episode...tomorrow I guess. Anyways, I enjoyed this series and I'm going to give it 7/10.

the manga only has 3 chapters done too? like Haruka Nogizaka?
what's up with that? >.>

Well its all originally based on a light novel series that currently has 8 volumes to it. The manga is supposedly only 1 volume long and so far 3 chapters have been scanlated.

I wish I could read the light novels, the manga only has 3 chapters scanlated. It would be awesome if many of them light novels were translated into English and released in the US and UK regularly. I still haven't come across an actual light novel being sold in the UK........which is a sad thought.

Just saw the OVA. It was as good as the series. A lot of funny moments mixed with a lot of ecchi and even some nipples ^^

And Kakeru was awesome as always. There are a lot of Harem-guys out there in the anime world who could learn from him ^^

But I cant remember that the voices were so bad. Especially Melons voice was utter trash. Did they change the voice actor or was it always like this?

And the best part, Yuriri was in there again. I really missed here the last 2-3 ep of the series.

Now that you meantioned that I kind of had an odd feeling that I've seen a character design that looked exactally like her from one series or another.

In any case all I know is Takeru will probabbly end up fighting Melon only to snap her back into her senses of course. In any case I still say she killed her owner though due to the fact she reminds me of a certain female that did pretty much the same thing in another series, or it could be the Visual novel I'm talking about as well here. In any case that's the vibe I'm getting from this overly broken character though.

yeah it does look like yuna only bit evilish

but why dont show his other akikan he has the quiet girl who reads dont remember her name
