The series, which is also called Hekiyō Gakuen Seito-kaigi Jiroku (The Records of the Hekiyō Academy Student Council’s Activities), revolves around a private high school whose student council is chosen entirely by popularity vote. Because of this, Ken Sugisaki is the only male representative, in the otherwise all bishōjo student council, that may enter the “sacred sanctuary” of the council’s meeting room. At the behest of Council President Kurimu Sakurano (pictured at right), Sugisaki records the minutes of the council meetings, which devolve into daily conversations about the students’ lives and interests.

This was definitely the funniest series this season. It didn't start out too strong, but the comedy kept on building. This is one of the few times that repetitive comedy and themes actually worked well.

I hope that there really is a second season to this, and yet I can't see how they would pull it off since the show really didn't go anywhere. I was disappointed to see the whole Mafuyu confession cut short, but I was also expecting it. Luckily it was really a Mafuyu "based" episode. The whole appearance of Nakameguro appearing was hilarious and disturbing at the same time.

Overall, this series really did make me laugh a lot, moreso than I had expected. Although a season 2 looks grim at this point, this is something that an eye should definitely be kept out for. It has similar feelings to that of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei only with moe and references with almost every line. This is definitely worth watch for laughs regardless of whether someone likes moe or not. 8/10

I got up to episode 09 last night. I watched DtB2's finale and then watched the remaining episodes afterwards with dinner between ep 11 and 12.

I loved the series as it continued and I really enjoy the fact that Ken came from a screwed-up middle school experience and then entered high school to be changed by 4 girls and coming to the conclusion of wanting to make them all happy.

It would be awesome for them to do a 2nd season and perhaps introduce some characters from his past especially the 2 girls he was two-timing.....his childhood friend and sister-in-law...apparently one of them was called Ringo I think. I would love it for it to happen but has it even happened in the novels or even in the mangas ??

I really really really want a 2nd season. This series hasn't been called a romance anime but it definitely has a lot of it but its done in a way where it just passes you and just laugh at it.

I'm giving this series a 9/10........it was certainly a good watch.

I started doing a marathon on this series a few hours ago and I just finished watching episode 07. Its a decent anime thats pretty much the comedy moments of Higurashi and loads of parodies with Ken's harem delsuions. Studio DEEN have done a better job with this series compared to Umineko in my opinion. However, I do wish things will get heated up soon, which I believe will happen but more likely towards the remaining few episodes.

So the thing with Mafuyu last ep was a flashback just like the one with Chizuru in the episode with her ex best friend. It was good to see how it all began.

I wouldnt mind a second season too because it was great fun to watch. They even inserted jokes from the newest animes, like Sora no Otoshimono.

It gets a 9/10 from me.
-1 because of that whole BL-thing.

Well with episode 12 it pretty much explains why Key-kun decided to join the Student Council in the first place. Also who would of that that Aka-chan was the one who started things off with him. In any case they did show parts of what happened during those seasons in the series so it pretty much explained itself here.

In any case it's probably wishful thinking to see a second season out of this, but hoestly I wouldn't mind it at all.

Well....episode 11 was certainly quite shocking and I was quite pleased at the same time. Mafuyu being the star of the show here is absolutely surprising and I haven't had a character that I actually favored be the primary pick in a while. However, given that there is only one episode left as well as the randomness of this show, I don't see the development getting very far nor conclusive. Nevertheless, the show definitely retains is comedic and entertaining value and that's really all that matters about this show.

As for who Snow/Yuki is, I think it might be Mafuyu and there are a decent amount of hints that gives that away. Of course, they didn't really expand on much about who he/she is so it may very well might not be Mafuyu.

What's funny about this show is that they decide to finally "come up" with a plot in the second to last episode

I dont think that Mafuyu is Snow. The way the talk/write is too different. And Im not quite sure if that even was a flashback or only a visualisation of the talk between Ken and Snow. I mean why would he sit there out in the snow?

I wouldnt have thought that Ken would date his sister-in-law. No wonder nobody liked him after that. And Im surprised that our four girls are still standing behind him.

Its really bad that next week is the last ep. I wonder what they do then and who the guy at the end of the preview is.

Man they really know how to make you want to see the next episode so badly, sad that this season is ending, I hope they'll make a second!

I love the humor in all the episodes, and I have been even more interested in the 'serious' story that is briefly covered in most episodes, and this one in particular (episode 11) really made me love Mafuyu even more (she and Chizuru are my two favorites). Seeing her flashblack scene and Ken getting sick and everyone hearing his about past and the whole visit was just really touching. I really want to see how 12 ends now!

Question for anyone else here, but considering what Mafuyu says at the very end... does that explain why throughout the episodes she always seemed to be 'lost in thought' and looking away or out the window all those times? I'm just now thinking about it and wondering if that was hinting to her decision here or am I wrong and that they're unrelated?

Oh, and from the beginning/preview portion of the episode... is 'Snow' actually Mafuyu? Or they just happened to overlay his chat conversation with the flashback?

Well it looks like that 12 will be the last episode for the series. Although with the way things played out it seems that even Mafuyu feel for Key-kun here. From what it looks like we may just have a random open end for the series, but it's better than a ending that makes no sense at all.

Aside from that it seems that Key-kun tends to made the jokes work properly with the rest of the members. So it was rather interesting that they would at least show what it would of been like without him in the room at the time.

Yeah but in actuality they have three songs, but they also have three variations of each song. Besides I check the ED CD that is now out and it's pretty much 6 songs total (excluding the Instrumentals).
