Season 2 really wasnt that different except for the shift of other characters but none of them were really good. Thats one of the three main negative points, the characters are just onedimensional and often boring and annoying and because of that its always the same joke about the same character made by the same character. Second negative point is the animation because most of the time the girls dont look like middleschoolers but elementary schoolers with their bloated cheeks. Third negative point is that, just like in season one, there was no yuri in it. Just Ayano getting all embarrassed or Chinatsu getting nosebleeds isnt nearly enough. This show never goes further than friendship.

First season got a 7/10 but this one gets it a bit lower 6/10.

Well for your run-of-the-mill yuri styled 4-koma I have to say that it was pretty decient. Besides at least with this one they were pretty much being kind of obvious about the yuri here and there.

In any case it was a good series to kill time with but that's about it. Although I would recomend it to anyone that likes yuri in general since it does appeal to that crowd though, or at least it tries to at times.

Yuru Yuri ♪♪ (hereafter known as Yuru Yuri 2) is the sequel to the 2011 surprising hit of the same name. The Amusement Club continues their usual antics with a slightly greater focus on the supporting characters from season 1: Himawari and Sakurako. Like the first season, Yuru Yuri 2 was simulcasted on CrunchyRoll during the Summer 2012 anime season.

Yuru Yuri 2 is very similar to Yuru Yuri unsurprisingly with the exception of a greater focus on Himawari and Sakurako. Yui, Chinatsu, the twins, and Ayano didn’t seem to play as big of a role this season though I do recall the episode where Chinatsu’s scarf turned out to be one heck of a mosaic. The show continues to have various little fun antics with episode 11 (The Akarin who Leapt Through Time) being the best of them all. Akari remains one of my least favorite characters in this show but that episode suited her incredibly well when she attempted to rewrite history (i.e. season 1) yet came to realize that changing history would change who she is now. Conclusion wise, the show is the same old same old except with a nostalgic twist by bringing back some of the “classic” moments from both series. It’s fun but I personally started to see this series getting old. It just doesn’t have the same feel as say Hidamari Sketch, which after 3 seasons continues to hold strong every step of the way.

Art continues to be a drag on this show. Backgrounds are plain and lacking in detail. Character designs are basic and very generic. Animation quality improved marginally since the first season and considering that Doga Kobo also worked on Natsuyuki Rendezvous this season and nothing else since Yuru Yuri season 1, it’s pretty evident overall that this is the current limit of this studio. At the least, however, I was hoping they would mix up the colors a little. Too many things use the same color (e.g. uniforms and backgrounds seem very close in tint)  make it “hard” on the eyes. It’s not blinding but just straight up irritating.

OP/ED themes continue to drag on this show. It’s catchy but not something that I would listen to outside of the show on a normal basis. Background and sound effects remain average. Seiyuus continue to be decent for this show. Same old same old. I personally prefer the themes from season 1 though or at least YuruYuruYuruYuruYuri~

Enjoyment? To be perfectly honest, I’m at a lost for words like I was for the first season. Unfortunately, it’s for a different reason this time. I just didn’t feel the same type of series in this second season. It had its same fill of jokes and slice of life antics but it failed to go beyond what its first season counterpart could already do, which I guess I was looking for in a second run through. The shoujo-ai aspect was also not as big of a theme this time and the show reran a lot of the same old jokes over and over.

Overall, K-ON! and Hidamari Sketch are better titles than this at the end of the day. Personally, I prefer Natsuiro Kiseki as a more apples to apples comparison, though they all fit into the slice of life cute moe girls genre. This is certainly an alternative to the aforementioned titles but I will say that this sequel lacks rewatchability let alone value compared to the first season. Or better yet, Minami-ke trumps all of the above!

Well so far they are doing the same gags as last season but actually are fleshing out the characters a bit more here and there. I mean they even had an epsidoe that was pretty much borderlining of a yuri session as well as Chinasu managing to actually end up on a date with Yui.

I mean with the recient episdoe they pretty much showed how the girls would act and react when they happen to be with someone close to thier normal counterpart it would seem.

To be honest I dont know if I need a second season of this so maybe I will drop this. Depends on how good the other shows that started airing are.

This series doesn't really create much discussion, does it? Not because it's bad or anything, on the contrary it's rather hilarious. It's just that now all the characters and patterns are established, so all you can do is talk about how funny this or that scene was. I had actually forgot that this show was coming back so when the first episode popped up it felt like I had struck gold.

Now to resurect this thread, and with good reason too.

The second season of this series is now currently airing so with that in mind I decided to being this thread back from the grave if you will. Pretty much it's the same stuff as always, and yes it still as the running gag with Akaring of course.

Granted the first half of the epsiode really is a dream sequence and becomes more and more apparent as time rols on though.

Yuru Yuri, a simple comedy show that centers around four school girl's daily life. Sounds like Lucky Star right? or does it?

The story is comedy, nothing more and nothing less. What's different? It actually delivers on the yuri aspect in the final episode I actually found a lot of the comedy in this show quite hilarious, mostly due to Kyoko of course. Kyoko really drives this show and it was interesting to see how much her character changed from when she was a child (shown in episode 11). The nice thing is that even though a lot of the jokes are recycled, there are often new twists to them that make them seem fresh.

Animation wise is slightly below average from Doga Kobo. I have seen better from when they worked on 11eyes or Koihime Musou. The art was similar to that of Lucky Star, which is sadly not saying much since we're comparing something made in 2007/2008 to something made in 2011.

Music was not particularly worth rehearing multiple times but certainly catchy. Seiyuu was good though, and again Kyoko = priceless.

Enjoyment? I honestly thought this would be yet another boring comedy show but this ended up being far more entertaining that I could have imagined. Certainly not the best I've seen but definitely worthwhile watching and definitely looking forward to the second season now.

Overall, the show is good. Not great and not terrible, but just good. A drawback for this show was its excessively long eye catch sequence and that's really the only major complaint that I have. Again, looking forward to season 2 this summer.

The last ep was really good with the whole cast together. And we finally got the Yuri stuff we wanted and the kiss of Ayano and Kyouko we all were looking forward to.
And after Chitoses rampage there was a battlefeald of another sort ^^

Overall quite enjoyable but not great. Worst thing was defenitely the animation, especially Kyouko looked really bad a lot of times.
Characters were enjoyable, even thought they couldve left out Akarin, Chinatsu, bigtits and blondie since they were mostly annoying and took screentime away from the other ones.

7/10 from me.

Lest episode was definatly the best episode. It was so halarious! Chitose's Chocolote "allergy" is a thing to be feared.
