The voice of Hina does deserve being mentioned. I agree with Killer_Ossi. That voice is awesome but doesn't fit to the person. Maybe they chose the wrong seiyuu for the character. All other voices were good.

eh...it was Yui Ogura, same seiyuu who voiced Alice in Kami-sama no Memo-chou this season. Fits pretty well if you ask me, though it you had the 10 year old in Usagi Drop who voiced Rin take on the role, It would be an entirely different story.

Final episode and it was indeed better this way. Better to be realistic with them losing. The last part was somewhat overdone with the maid uniforms.

So to the series itself. It was less about basketball than i had hoped. Still it exceeded my expectations since this series could have really slipped into being only an ecchi series. The big negative is the lack of a developing relationship between Aoi and Subaru. That really was a big letdown. Even the possibility of Tomoka trying for Subaru wasn't developed more. So in the relationship part this series failed to develop. The story part about all the different backgrounds of the girls was nice but sometimes it was too simplistic.
The animation was nice so no complaints there. The characters were also nice but again the lack of real depth to them have a feeling of being stereotypes. The voice of Hina does deserve being mentioned. I agree with Killer_Ossi. That voice is awesome but doesn't fit to the person. Maybe they chose the wrong seiyuu for the character. All other voices were good.
To sum it up this series was good but it failed to use the possibilities it created to add more depth. Due to this it barely reaches a 6.5 out of 10.

Ro-Kyu-Bu! A show that was hyped quite a lot among the anime community prior to its initial airing and a show that I decided to shaft in terms of priority because it didn't look all that interesting. Let's see if anything has changed...

Ro-Kyu-Bu!'s plot is about 5 elementary school girls striving to be a full-fledged basketball team. The team starts off as incredibly flaky of not knowing the basics of basketball and simply playing for fun. Once their new coach, high school student, Subaru Hasegawa, decides to help out, things take a turn for the better. If you ask me, the plot is a bit stale. I did get Cross Game like vibes when it came down to "crunch times," but was rather bored when they did all the loli fanservice stuff. That said, the plot wasn't bad, but had a long ways to go before it can be truly considered a "story."

Animation wise this was Studio Blanc's first work and I will say that I'm quite impressed. It's not over the top but for a first major work, it's good enough. Now, I did have a problem with the art where there were a couple episodes in the middle of the series that had Maho (and a few other characters, but mainly Maho) with dislocated eyes....yes that bugs me a lot.

Music? ED was cute, but not good. OP was great! It's KOTOKO who composed the song and of course the 5 heroines' seiyuus who sang the theme. Nice and catchy with a bit of cuteness involved.

Character? What character? Not enough Tomoka is pretty much that all needs to be said for an "ace" of the show.

Enjoyment? Like I said before, I shafted this show...initially of course. As it went on, I found myself gradually enjoying it more and more...of course, that's because most of this season was filled with bad shows and anyways and this happened to just stand out on the positive end.

Overall, not bad, not good, but just okay. The way the final episode ended hinted at no second season. But in this day and age, you never know....

Preliminary Score: 6/10
Final Score: 6/10

So they lost the last match which is was better than them winning since its making it more realistic since the other team was supposed to really strong.

Overall a enjoyable series which surprisingly focused a lot more on basketball than I initially thought. And be honest nobody of you expected that right?

Only downer was Aoi and Subarus relationship and Subaru beeing a real pervert ("Gradeschoolers are the best" anyone?). Oh and the loli teacher of course which was totally unneeded.

Best thing was probably Hinas voice which is just pure erotic. Too bad her body didt keep what the voice promised. And just how did they think she was weak fragile? If someone of her height runs around with that much hair she cant be weak or fragile.

A 7/10 from me.

What the ???? Have they gone completely crazy at cospa??

A nice new episode. It seems that Subaru is getting his team more sorted out. It was to be expected that he would make her the one who coordinates the game. I can't say that the rest of the episode was very strong. The sudden crying and the following part of the team making up and playing was too predictable. The worst part however was for Subaru and Aoi in the steam cabin. Aoi's reaction was overdone. She may be tsundere but this was just annoying. They know each other for a while now and this seemed to ignore that fact.
I hope we get to see more of Subaru's mother and aunt. They add just that bit extra which this series seems to need right now.

Im looking forward to the game and I hope they defeat that blonde arrogant brat. But she is right, the girls have almost no knowledge about basketball except a bit of training. Except Tomoka of course.

Adult-lolis illness was quite a surprise. But thats what you get when youre still a loli with 25 At leaast thanks to that we got to see Nayu again.

Pretty much you sumed up what I was thinking as well nijlandp-san. In any case they were able to handle their own boys baskettball club with just the 5 of them at one point so pretty much it looks like they are being massively under-estamated here. Then again they do need 5 more so that way they don't wear themselves down all the way in a match-up.

Although I have to say Aoi denying feelings for Subaru when it's obvious only means that she's pretty much tsundere over him.

This episode was better than the last one. Even if this series fails to focus on serious basketball it still is pretty entertaining. The tension of Tomoka liking Subaru, Aoi getting all afraid that Subaru is getting out of reach and Subaru getting more and more depicted as being a lolicon. It was nice to have a second opinion on that last part (the team being special to him) although that may not reassure Aoi much. I wonder how they are going to solve that problem with only having 5 members. That girl of that other school seems like a strong adversary.
Hopefully the next episode will give a good match between Tomoka and that girl.

Pretty much I think they just antted to have the beach episode just for the fanservice here mind you. I any case at least they gave some kind of a back story here for Hina though.

Also, why is it that hs aunt does a dynamic entry to him when in all honest he wasn't trying to be pegged as a lolicon. Although the other teacher was kind of interesting saying that she kind of had the Mystic Eyes of Teh Loli of some sort.
