Kurogane Taito is a freshman in Miyasaka High. After an injury that prevented him from practicing karate, which he excelled in since elementary school, he had always believed that he was an ordinary, regular guy. However, due to a forgotten promise exchanged with a beautiful Vampire (Most Ancient Sorcerer) Saitohimea nine years ago, he was in fact no longer ordinary. Taito later went on to regain his memories after a certain incident, and was reunited with Saitohimea. Along with unlikely allies, Kurenai Gekkou, Miyasaka High's student council president and a genius bent on avenging his parents. As well as Andou Mirai, a cute lightning demon and familiar of Gekkou, they have to contend against Gekkou's twin brother, Kurenai Hinata, who sought to resurrect the powerful Vampire (Most Ancient Sorcerer) Bahlskra. Unknown to them, their destinies were already woven and foretold in an ancient prophecy of epic proportions.

Ok lets take the Dragon Crisis comparison away since my view on this is completely different.
But the OAD sounds totally ridiciulous. Do they want to destroy The Legend of the Legenary Heroes or what? I mean I heard that the Light Novels of Itsuka ... are pretty good but since the anime is horrible I cant really look forward to a crossover -.-

No idea how they want to do it, but according to moetron that's currently what's planned. The anime spent too much time idling in one spot, not to mention with a novel that has barely matured. While it is called "episode 13" it's hard to say now whether it's a true episode 13 or if they will skip to a later part of the novel...or simply be anime original entirely for Denyuden and Itsuka Tenma fans.

Dragon Crisis was a lot better since it had at least a few interesting characters and was more plotfocused.

I'd lump their plot in the same category. Unfocused until the final couple episodes in both cases. There was massive character introduction for the remainder of the show and that's about it. Neither had any direction and were constantly dropping hints of the plot without any significant advancement. Only difference was really that Dragon Crisis looked a lot prettier animation wise than Itsuka Tenma, but I preferred the art in Itsuka Tenma over Dragon Crisis. The blu-rays for Itsuka Tenma should look decent art wise, especially Saito Himea's hair. That just constantly amazed me with where their budget went.

EDIT: Apparently the OAD coming in December will be a cross between the author's two works: Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi and The Legend of the Legendary Heroes. I have no idea how that will work but we'll see in 2 months I guess.

You serious? Gekkou and Mirai were the nost annoying and uninteresting of all. Her squeaky voice which never said anything intelligent and he only throwing around insults was really hard to bear.

Indeed Geekou and Mieai were the only reason why I found it tolerable since those two tended to have a somewhat noticeable personality here. Everyone else felt rather flat thoughout this series so I'm glad I finished this series, and I'm kind of doubtful that I would want to foce myself to see another season of this.

I mean this series just reminded me of how Dragon Crisis turned out to be. I mean the premise was good but the story decided to go in a direction I wasn't really expecting mind you.

I agree with the previous posts.
For me only Gekkou and Mirai kept this show alive. They were nice to watch from the beginning. The others were just plain annoying. Taito was weak from the beginning and Himea slowly decended to his level. Storywise i'll just go with Kit-Tsukasa. Just a few parts of the series were interesting...
I can't say i will look forward to a second season. It really needs to get a strong story if it wants to get another chance from me..
This series was the worst of this season for me: 4 out of 10.

Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi is a show following Taito Kurogane and his mysterious encounter with the vampire Saito Himea. The original work is by the same author who wrote The Legend of the Legendary Heroes.

All right, there's a lot of hate for this show and I can understand exactly why. First of all, the lack of plot direction was a big problem. The first episode was really the best one of the show and that's all you really needed to watch for "this season." Everything was really meaningless wandering until the final few minutes of the last episode where they finally decided to uncover that the show is about a mysterious prophecy. Granted that they were hinting at it a few times throughout the series, it's a shame that they never got into the depths of it since that's the core of the show. Overall for the plot, these 12 episodes were a setup (hence all the training, character introductions, etc...), but that's what happens when you animate something that just started

Animation wise is very pretty for a ZEXCS title. Loved the art of Himea's hair but the magic circles were a bit sloppy overall. Magical effects were nicely done though. Quality also diminished after the first episode.

Sound? Opening was decent by Hitomi Harada... though I've heard better from her ef visual novel works. ED themes constantly changed, but the very first one remains the best of the show. Seiyuu wise? Mirai's seiyuu was really the only annoying one. As Gekkou would say it: "useless trash."

Enjoyment? Loved the first episode, and to some extent the second episode, but after that it was sloppy screenwriting that felt completely like filler with bits of character development thrown in here and there.

Overall, from the author who wrote The Legend of the Legendary Heroes, I actually look forward to the remainder of this series given how big of a shock the former title was. It really was a poor choice on the animation staff's part to animate a title they knew had not fully developed its premise yet and as of yesterday, it seems doubtful that we will be getting a sequel any time soon if at all since the show didn't even come close to breaking even: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2...suten-low-sales
The story remains interesting on the light novel side but the way the anime portrayed it simply disgusted me after the first two episodes. I initially thought this show could be a huge turnaround after the events episode 2 given how bad the rest of the summer was, but nope it was a complete downer and this only adds to that list.

There is an episode 13 OVA coming in December, but I doubt it will be anything useful. Maybe the staff will finally do something meaningful after the recent news about this series.

Preliminary Score: 7/10
Final Score: 5/10

This was defenitely the most worthless show this season. Lousy and annoying characters without even one acceptable.
Plot was bad too since it was all over the place without any direction with a lot of useless and stupid stuff.
Animation wasnt great either, even though I likek the hair of the girls.

3/10 from me.

Yeah I have to agree with you on the whole cat thing as well Ossi-san. If he doesnt summon it at all to save to two girls that really like him and all then what was the point of that episode to begin with?

Pretty much this series only has Gekkou and his biri biri girlfriend that kept it somewhat interesting. I mean for it being a 12/13 epsidoe series it's pretty much being a major letdown. Now if this was 24/26 epside in all than I'd see some of those whole filled... probablly. Even if this gets a second season I'd doubt I'll watch it as of now.

So just went through ep 6 till 10 and its still a failure of a series. Worst part was defenitley the past in ep 6 with the cat demon. That was so lousy Ive never seen anything that bad before. Seriously. Worst is you never even saw that cat again.
Characters are still all lousy even though Cross was interesting the first few minutes you saw him.
Plot is there but its so full of holes and bs I dont even want to call it a plot.
Animation isnt great either, especially since Izumi looks exactly like Haruka except the haircolor whats a damn laugh.

A waste of time but I will still watch the last two eps.
