An incredible baseball anime that needs more recognition in this forum. Thats why I'm gonna revive this thread so I can finally put my 2 cents into it.

The characters are just brilliant, they're funny and quirky and feel like a real team when they play. Mihashi's pitching control is off the hook if you look at it realistically and my favourite character Momoe-chan doesn't have as much focus as I would like the series to be but then again its fair to say that it should be like this. However, seeing Momoe-chan in several different attire was pretty ero....like her formal get-up when she meets the parents at the Tournament ceremony. I'm kinda glad that the 2nd season seems to be having more focus on her this time round.

I honestly can't believe that its been 3 years since the 1st season aired and I wonder when a potential 3rd season will come.

I loved this series to bits and thats why I'm going to give it a 9.5/10 but damn was the last match sooooo long.....literally 10 episodes covered one match, Nishiura vs Tousei.

Interestingly enough the available scanlations of the manga are up to where episode 24 ended. Episode 26 was one of the side stories at the end of one of the volumes. Poor Haruna....being tricked....

I'll miss this anime too. Hopefully the scanlators will continue, though theyre just as slow as the subbers. Oh well.

Twenty-six episodes ALREADY?!?!

Oh man, I'm so going to miss this show. I went into 26 expecting more and when I saw no preview for the next one I sat in my chair and stared idly at my desktop with the utmost "WHA?" face.

I'm glad I was able to watch a show with such a well-developed storyline and very enjoyable characters. Will definitely recommended it to those who don't even have that much interest in sports anime (like me). This will be a series I will re-watch in the upcoming months when I have nothing to do. ^__^

the one thing that i love about this anime is how methodical it is. Its not as over the top and haphazard as sport anime usually is (in Eyeshield 21, it seems like they're running forever to get a couple of yards, and Major is pretty exaggerated). If you were to score the first game of the tournament as an actual baseball game, you could do it, except for the pitch count. It took me a while to get into the first season though, Mihashi is such a whiny little bitch, and its hard to believe that a #1 pitcher anywhere can legitimately be at that spot without a fastball... but then again, all pitchers are a bit nutty.

Just wait paitnetly depending which subber your following will depend on what speed your getting them at, Saizen appear to have completly given up on the series, but anime central appear to do 3 or 4 then have a break for a bit then release more, but if they continue at there current pace sould be done by end of Feb if all goes well, plus Anime Central release batches for all of theres when they finsih so you could go with that if you dont fancy downloading them indivualy.

I'm not much of a sports fan, but when I saw a mere 10 second clip of this show at my friends house I fell in love with the animation. For a while I didn't know what the show was called (he couldn't pronounce the Japanese title when I asked him and I couldn't remember the full name for more than a day) so only the animation sat in my brain. Then I find a screen shot on the intarweb somewhere and I'm now downloading the first ten episodes like a madman.

From what I read here it sounds like Mihashi's character doesn't change drastically so I'll have to get used to his whiny ass complaining about everything. I think it'll be something I can keep under control. The lack of a spine gives him character.

i considered myself as a sportsman. i enjoy sports that reqiured teamwork such as soccer, rugby, basketball etc. so as for me, even if the coaching is weird, but actually those weird things is really effectives for a newbies team even in the real world (for any sports that need teamwork).
