Ok don't know if this has already been answered but... T-T i gotta know. so i just finished watching episode 1, and i l-o-v-e it. especially being an art student looks amazing! im a big fan of those traditional sounding japanese songs.

So, does anyone know what the name of the ending song is for this anime? Im not talking about the anime ending actually. At the end of episode 1, after the ending song, they go on to explain some terms and stuff about the anime, like what Mononoke is and everything. While they show this, there's a song going on in the back with a woman singing a traditional song. does ne one know what song that is??? plzzzz tell me if u know. >,<

Very intriguing Anime, the style is unique and the stories are pretty interesting
Ranging from the Mononokes, Japanese Mythical, folklore references..

Also the conclusions at the end of episodes before the shape of a monoke appears are likeable,
Sometimes it feels very confusing but i'll let it confuse me,
I do get most of the points though ,but they keep just making me wonder about more things as more incidents occur

I really like the music in it too, I will have to check the musicians they hire for this series

you can go watch the original ghost cat arc from the ayakashi anime if you like. that's the one that preceeds the story on the boat.

She calls the doll an "O-mamori" which is a kind of charm in Japan to protect you from bad luck or bad spirits. In this case I thought it was really cool though, since they purposely made it look a bit like a modern cell phone strap. Which is cool considering how people treat to phone straps these days XD But you can also get phone strap mamori these days too

If you will load up the episode again and forward past the ending credits, you will see there's an epilogue where medicine guy sums up his raison d'etre. :o)

(Yes, the jump-cut to the credz got a "wtf?" out of me too.)

just finished watching from ep10-12....OMGSH SO AMAZING! i LOVEDDDDDD this story arc with that freaky cat girl! the whole storyline and how everyone in that train car was connected! bloody genius! especially the LAST episode when everything was revealed! the medicine seller is SO COOL! Was it just me or did the last episode end really suddenly lol?

I'm sad that this series is over...ahhhh, this was probably the favorite out of all my series from the past season! the storyline was so deep and meaningful and absolutely unique. i've never seen anything like this before and i am very impressed with the general concept of this series. perhaps every episode has not only been psychologically thrilling, but it plays with everyday concepts and morals and uncovers them and digs into them to get a different meaning. Each story has been twisted and turned, and shows the dirty aspects of life, the "not so pretty" parts of life, the parts of life which we choose not to think about and just keep them out of our minds. This series has created a kind of alternate reality, where each story takes place, and you see the despair, and the truth that reigns over this world in all its deceit. I highly recommend this series to anybody who wants to get away from those silly, generic animes with the pointless overlydramatic storylines and divulge into one of the best animes I have perhaps ever seen. If I could, I'd give it 11/10! XD

i love the different and fresh-new artstyle, compared to all the other animes i've seen this has got that "wow-thats-different" feel to it.

Lol, im guessing that this series will be using many Japanese spiritual artifacts..so im gonna have trouble figuring out what a few things are...just saw ep.1 and i couldn't understand what the little "doll" object was lol.

Either way this looks interesting even though... They do a cliff0hanger ending of the Medicine seller unsheathing his sword lol ..even though its the first episode lol
