For the sake of parents’ business plans, Hidaka Sana moved to Tokyo. Five years later, he has become a high school student, and returned to his hometown, Sakuranomori. He feels uneasy because the streets of his hometown and his old friend he meets again have changed a lot since five years ago. The most changed thing is his childhood friend, Yatsushiro Nanaka. She used to smile sweetly with innocent eyes, but now has retreated into her shell and become gloomy.

This is a heartwarming love story of a boy and a girl who grow up suffering from the gap between sweet memories and the reality they have to face.

this was a pretty good series. The only thing i didnt like was the short rush ending. They could have mad it better in the end. But overall the plot twists, and deep issues made it a good anime. Also good thing nanaka did not die. I would have been so pissed. Why did he give ask her to marry him 10years later at like 26 tho. kinda late

i thought that this series was very naive and childish.

at best, ill give it 3.5/10

if u guys want to watch the most emotional and saddest masterpiece, try watching this k drama called "winter Soanata"

its when u haven't seen a masterpiece that u can be satisfied with inferior shows like this.

T_T it was good i'd even say great......but wasn't the episodes at the end uhh... a little rushed???

Ok yeah I forgot about the final plothole in this story. I mean it's fine and all for them to do 10 years, but they completely skiped over the building upp the relationship. I mean they could of had a few more episodes to work with that you know. I mean it could of panned out more if you ask me, but wth the twist in pretty much every episode it almost made me want to say "What a twist."

Although the ending did make this series Fail if you ask me. I mean I watched and it was barley passable for me. Not only that, but once I was finished watching it I got rid of the entire series to save HD space.

It wasn't the plot twist issue....it was the stupid ending. Although I give it credit for being an anime original, the 10 year time skip was the biggest mistake in the series. Everything had built up perfectly and yet we don't even get to see the full relationship development between half the characters, particularly Sana and Nanaka. Unfortunately, not even the PS2 game that came out shortly after solved the problem. I have yet to get my hands on the Sorezore Finale that came out this past April, which hopefully concludes everything.

Well it was a good story, but the downside I saw with this was they placed plot twist after plot twist that started to create plotholes.

It was an ok series, but it could of been done much better if you ask me. At least Toradora had the decency to work its way into being a slice of life high school romance series.

I just fininshed to watch all 13 episodes and all I can say is awsome.

I'm glad I watched this anime. And I think everyone should watch it especially teenager. From suicidal emo kids to full-of-self bullies. After all we're all people and we can all bleed ourselves, and our heart (crying- took line from Toradora!).

Yeah I'm a dude and I'm 17 and I felt like crying at times. End of discussion .>.<

I just finished watching this series lastnight too and from my point of view it was a damned good show, at points I even felt like shouting at my monitor (to try get the characters to hear me) I got so worked up.
The only reason I wont re-watch the show again in the near future is because I ended up spending half of lastnight crying myself to sleep which means I didn;t get to sleep until 3am
I felt my heart break so many times during the show because of of certain moments.
It's a great story and it's really well told.

After watching all thirteen episodes I can say this is one of the best non-action animes I have seen. The funny part is as a guy I rarely get emotional when I watch anime, tv, or movies. Even if the anime had no real setting in present day life I can say with all heart filled tears that I can relate to Sana and Nanaka. The plot that was developed for each character and how they tied them into each other was a creative and brilliant job that left a lasting impression on me. I can also say that the voice actors that voiced the characters did a great job but I do wish that they would have made the series longer. All together I give this anime a 5 out of 5 which is rare for me because I am a action anime person.
