| QUOTE (Kit-Tsukasa @ Feb 23 2008, 11:14 AM) | | I just came across this series after seeing a couple screenshots. I think I may give this series a try after seeing that the animation was siginificantly better than the preview artwork. Can anyone give me a little info on what the series is generally like since the info from ANN and the one in this thread doesn't really say much? or at least a critique of what's good and bad so far? |
Basically, we have Razhel, a girl in her mid-teens who was kicked out of her house by her father so that she could "see the world". She meets Alzeid, a man about 10 year's her senior out for the revenge of the murder of his father by a woman. They start traveling together, and somehow pick up another guy around Alzeid's age named Baroqueheat (Razhel calls him Heat for short), though it hasn't been explained in the anime yet how they meet. The anime's plot is disjointed from the manga in that each episode jumps around between chapters and volumes, which is also why episode 1 is rather confusing, since it covers chapters 1, 4, and 5. But then episode two covers chapter 27, episode three covers 28-30, and episode 4 covers chapter 16, and so on. Each episode is episodic in nature, so it doesn't matter if they mess up the orders of the chapters. Each episode, or so, covers a new place that Razhel and her two companions come across, and the different people they meet there. And most importantly, it's a very typical shoujo manga type story, so if you don't like shoujo manga, I don't think the anime will interest you that much. I see the anime as pretty mediocre, but it does have some good points. Watch the first three episodes to get a good idea of what the series is like. |
