| QUOTE (Killer_Ossi @ Apr 01 2012, 05:02 PM) | And another season of Natsume Yuujinchou is over again. Theres not much to say except maybe that it was slightly better than the third since it was a bit more about Reiko and Natsume past again. But still not as much as I wanted. |
I was happy that they shed more light on his family, but as you said I wish we could have learned more. I want to know what kind of man Reiko eventually ended up marrying, lol. It's interesting that she did not give up her family name, and I'm guessing that her son inherited her name rather than her husbands (if she even did get married).
What I find inspiring about this show is how kindhearted Natsume is, regardless of the fact that he's been treated like crap in the past. He definitely did not have an easy life, and that's why it's amazing how loving and compassionate he is towards everyone (youkai and human alike) in spite of all the hurt that he's experienced.
I'm also loving Nyanko-sensei's "tsundere" nature. By the end of the fourth season when he claims that he's only sticking around Natsume to get the book of friends...... yeah right, he's not fooling anyone | QUOTE (ImTakes @ Apr 01 2012, 05:39 PM) | The other unanswered and brushed over neglected storyline is the resolution of Natsume coming clean with his foster parents. Have they just suspected all along? Is there a secret that was revealed to them and they just take his eccentric behavior for granted? Ah well...may never get those answers but one never knows. |
I'm going to go out on a limb here and presume that they will stay happily oblivious to all of the shenanigans going on in their house at night til the series ends, lol.
In the end I give it 8/10 because I felt it's not as strong as the first two seasons, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm tempted to give it a higher score though because the episode where Nyanko-sensei was impersonating Natsume was too funny for words.... I could watch that episode several times over
