it's almost been a month and I still cannot download episode 1 with error : "Unable to use file".

Does the links broken? I've tried both Koushin and Churukai and still got the same error. Also tried remove and re-added and still not working.

Can anyone upload it on rapid? many thanks.

Damn....some these comments sound really bad and I guess its the main reason why this series NEVER got subbed after episode 1...it was just FORGOTTEN.

I thought it was terrible too. On top of my previous observation about it being shockingly drab and colorless compared to the source material, it's also saddled with ugly character designs, an uncharismatic lead character, a not terribly interesting story, and pretty awful writing structure for the episode. About 75% of the episode was boring exposition laid out to us through flat monologue and uninteresting dialog. It was disconcerting as well to suddenly find that this takes place in a society of intergalactic space travel, something that's completly unconnected to the film.

I also have to disagree with Dragon of Rune on the action sequences. Next to the art direction, the crazy gunkata and swordplay was the only thing that made the movie worth watching. What little action we saw in this episode was boring by comparison.

The only real high points of the show were the quite good OP and ED songs, but unfortunately with all it's flaws there is absolutely no way this will become even a "guilty pleasure" for me.

I think this is the very first time that I have read reviews by other members and it totally killed my will to watch an anime. It's quite possible that the reviews were so bad that I actually have to watch it?! Though I'm leaning towards not just in case anyone was curious. Also Accipiter I gotta say I thought no one mercilessly ripped lackluster animes like me and hmm probably Biankita ^__^ but you achieved a ripping of the highest order w/that post. As a fellow critic I respect you for that. I especially like how you begin to compliment the OP and ED but promptly follow up w/a final general ripping. To you (and the others) I say arigato you might just have saved 20 something minutes of my life that I could never get back.

Youngsters these days, have no respect for the dark style's of the 80's. I am one who likes this style, even ergo proxy had a similliar dark style in the art. Also i think you should watch some more episode's to judge this. From what i have seen from the first episode there is a bigger story behind the story we all see. A hidden message like you can see in other anime and movies. For those who watched the movie Casshern and found the hidden message in that one will understand what i mean. And pardon my use of words for this but "Dumb people that cant think with logic will not find it". As for the hidden message in this series i have to watch all episode's before i can figure it out completely.

Btw i am one of the people who think that the movie Ultraviolet pretty much sucks. So seeing this really is much much better.

Wow, I guess my response wasn't the minority either. I was rather unimpressed and didn't completely finiish the episode which is an extreme rarity for me. I thought I might not have given it a fair chance by doing that at first, but it seems my first impressions matched with other people. I was just disappointed and generally bored watching it. I just thought I could be watching far better things.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought this was awful..

When I first read about this, I thought, cool, it will be like Blade, except a hot chick!

Boy was a wrong. I've seen more colors on a freaking etch a sketch. I think Chobits had more action -,-.
And I thought the main char was supposed to be hot? She had an alright body, but her face was messed up -,-
All around fail of an anime from what I can tell.

I don't know about you guys.. but I found this anime simply terrible =x Poor voice acting(corny as hell to boot) and too much dramatic crap. Chances are I probably won't even watch the 2nd episode.

I have downloaded and watched the first episode and i can say i really like this anime 100 time more then the movie it is based on. It already has started with a better story line, got beter action scene's even though in the first episode are short and a nice dark thouch that really fits with the theme of this anime. I do have to say its not a anime for all age's, little adult theme in it. But if you like action anime with a darker style you should really watch this.

I just happened to come across the op and ed of this show on YouTube and it left me wondering if anyone knew anything about a sub coming down the pike. I looked into news from the groups reported to be working on it in the Summer Anime thread but there is nary a peep.

In any case, what strikes me about both those videos and the teaser trailer is how dark and dull they look in comparison to the vibrant uber-technicolor look of the movie. It's amazing to think that a live-action film could be adapted into an anime and end up less colorful, isn't it?
