I finally finish the TV series.....I re-watched episode 10 and then proceeded to watch the rest of the episodes. This anime is great and has the same flare as the manga if not brighter. I'm giving it 10/10 because I thoroughly enjoyed it.

is there something wrong with the Extra/OVA download on the website? i have tried all of the download options, and it crashes VLC, doesnt show the subs in Media Player Classic or Haihaisoft Player.

anyone else have problems with it?

NOPE....it looks its a problem from your side I think. You may have downloaded an incomplete version of it.....which really shouldn't be the case since its like 100mb. Try re-downloading the OVA.

I haven't seen the last 3 episodes of the TV series but I watched the OVA last night. The OVA was very "cakey". It was funny and it did make me want to finish the original TV series, which I will eventually do.

I also miss Hyakko

I didn't find the OVA to be that funny but I still enjoyed in nonetheless. It was great to see Torako again as well as the other characters. My only complaint though is that it was so short and that other than Torako and Touma, none of the other characters got any lines.

Is that thing really an OVA? When the intro played, it sayed Hyakko Extra. Perhaps someone finally TLed the DVD bonus and labeled it as OVA. I like Hyakko, but I don't really find that OVA that funny.

The OVA made me miss Hyakko. I really enjoyed the show and equally enjoyed this short OVA.

So... I just watched the OVA that was subbed; and I have to say I enjoyed it. Torako is still as silly as ever, but it seems Touma gets along much better with her now... most likely because they skipped a lot of material (manga wise) to get to this point... but since the cake shop scene was pretty good to begin with, so it made sense to make it into a short OVA.

Anyway, sacher torte.

I liked the series, but the last two episodes were a bit of a drag. I think they were nice in that they informed us on why Torako was so fired-up about making so many friends, but I think that story was misplaced in the series. It might have worked better in the middle, and that way they could have left us off on a big up note instead.

I think the series was at it's best when it was reduced to a Azumanga Daioh-like simplicity, and I would welcome it back in the form of a second season if they just played out those strongly distinct characters in comedic situations.

side-note: wth was up w/the two loli characters that would have their one minute of fame each episode?! I'm still scratching my head on that I keep thinking I missed something along the way.

I loved them! They were always a highlight for me. They were cute and wise beyond their years with great voices and were always accompanied by an infectious midi version of the OP.

The final 2 episodes were the best of the series (aside from that one part in episode 6 that I wished they would expand on) since we got decent character development. Nevertheless, this series started out very unappealing to me. The characters were really not my favorite. However, considering more than 75% of the series was not very interesting to me, I'm kinda glad it's over. It had a lot of potential, but it was not executed very well.

On another note, what was the deal with the lolis they kept showing? Also Hitsugi would have been a much better character had she had a younger voice rather than sounding older than she should.
