After Ai Enma's supposed death after the events of the 2nd season, her three helpers, Ichimoku Ren, Wanyuudou and Hone-Onna live out their lives in relative peace. This is suddenly shattered when Kikuri returns to recruit them. Meanwhile, Ai mysteriously reappears from the dead and uses the body of a young schoolgirl, Yuzuki Mikage, to continue the Jigoku Tsūshin operation. Yuzuki is aware of Ai's presence however, when she can see what Ai sees.

ummm..are these eps subbed/dubbed? pls reply

Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae is not licensed in the US, so it is subbed. Note that even season 2: Futakomori, has yet to even be licensed.

I finally downloaded the final two episodes of this, I just watched ep.25 and Yuzuki's back story was very sad. I had wondered a few times during the series about the seeming derelict nature of the block where she lived; and the fact that she could never reach her mum on the phone was kind of ominous too (a bit like Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne where Maron waits in vain for her parents to contact her).

Oh well, at least she's back in contact with Akie again...
one more episode to go, I think I'll leave it until tomorrow.

So finally caught on to episode 25 and I must say that the last three episodes have so far impressed me. It's just as good as it was back in episode 13. I honestly think this could have been a 13 episode series given the amount of repetition this show had.

I do feel bad for Yuzuki, but the one thing that continues to puzzle me is how did she become "real" and grow up? That makes no sense to me still and I doubt they'll explain it in the final episode given the preview. Anyways, this was more or less a good watch and all that remains is to see how they wrap things up now that Ai is essentially out of the picture.

I agree it must have been an awful shock to to Yuzuki to find out what the truth is, although it does explain why she can never get hold of her parents. I'll be interested to see what happens nhext for her, she's so sweet it'd be kinda weird to have her as Jigouko Shoujo I think.

Is it my imagination or does Ai use an old fashioned Apple Mac, the sort with the screen built into the system box?

Incidentally, I've been looking for Jigoku Shoujo's website, and founf this:
http://www.jigokutsushin.co.nr/
does anyone know if it works?

Episode 19 was fantastic, especially with the plot finally moving and that Yuzuki actually has an important role, even though it's been hinted from the ending theme since episode 1. I wonder what Yuzuki will end up doing though. Will she be able to choose who goes to hell and overturn judgments?

I'm more curious about those "other" Jigoku Shoujos in the ending theme. I hope we get more info about that. Episode 20 looks like another good ep
