Is there any chance we get a second season of Skip Beat

There's enough material for a 2nd season but these series usually have a teaser season 1.....forcing viewers who haven't read the manga making them want to read them because they want to know whats going to happen.

They used as I said about 10 to 11 volumes for the 1st season of Skip Beat!......currently there are 23 volumes and its still on-going.

However, the problem is that Skip Beat! could very likely be another Suzuka....what I mean is that the original anime only used 9 volumes 72 chapters worth of material and the manga ended with 18 volumes 166 chapters. They can easily do a 2nd season of Suzuka.....oh yeah, the manga ended in 2007....the 1st season came in 2005.

I really really really don't want this to be the case for Skip Beat! because it seriously needs a 2nd season because I love Skip Beat! being animated more.

I never got to finish it off but I'm still reading the awesome manga. Looking at your posts.....it seemed like it finished in volume 10 or 11 I reckon. Its currently up to Volume 23...Chapter 149 was released yesterday but I prefer the other scanlator though. However, I'm going to read it since the last chapter left me "WTF.........NOOOOOOOOO.........DON'T END IT THERE!!!" state.

I'm thinking of re-watching this series from the start...to re-live the moments of Skip Beat! If it followed the manga panel for panel this series certainly should get 10/10. 7/10..........I'm disappointed with you Kit.........I just guess you don't dig SHOUJO.

Yeah thats why right now Im not reading Hatsukoi Limited even though I badly want to ^^

Thats the only bad point about Skip Beat, there isnt nearly enough Moko in it.

Actually Hatsukoi Limited is one of the few anime that has actually followed the manga panel for panel so far (Very close)

I've read the manga and have been pleasently pleased how well they have followed the manga.

Hope they can finish like its going now

Interesting how the first 10 episodes were great, and then it just sucked.

Ya see, this is why I don't read the manga for stuff that I'm currently watching. It just destroys the experience. I loved the anime, and I thought it was great. However, had I read the manga, then I would be expecting everything and would notice when little things were cut in the interest of brevity... which is why you thought it was "shit".

Had you simply done as me and watched the anime until its conclusion and then read the manga (I'm currently up-to-date with the USA release (vol. 18 I think. I hate that Sho-look-a-like almost as much as Sho ), then you wouldn't have spit that bile all over this thread.

Besides, the manga author herself has pretty much forgotten Moko. She hasn't been seen in like 5 volumes!

I heard that the Rosario Manga is far better, but the Anime was so lame I dont really want to read it.

But come on, all those fancy colors they were using just totally were of the picture. They should have made everything a little darker, because the manga is drawn really dark. And the voice of Kyoko, omg after reading the manga I couldnt stand it.
I seriously had to force myself watching till the end (I dont drop animes then im already at ep 20), because it was so lame compared to the manga.
And they left out the thing with Moko, what making it useless to show Hiro (or how the boy was named) right after/before the ED.
And Kyoko was not even near as beautiful as coldhearted angel as in the manga.

But yeah it is a good anime, if you dont have read the manga.
But for me I watched till ep 10 and than because it was so damn good (yeah back then it was damn good) I started reading the manga. At that point I was just disapponted of the anime.
They couldve and shouldve done way better than that.
The anime is just an insult to the manga.

LOL..

You totally fail Killer and should be forced to read the Rosario + Vampire manga and then the anime to see what a truly bad manga adaptation looks like.

The Skip Beat! anime was great.

I dont think there has to be a second series, at least I wont watch it.
Compared to the Manga the Anime is just shit, probably the most lousy manga-adaption ever made.

Actually, there is no resolution in that last episode, and looking at the manga, it's actually in the middle of a story arc (Ren having problems acting in love--started in chapter 61, with the arc ending around 76, but the anime episode ending in chapter 64). I would guess that the studio plans on doing a continuation to a second season but they simply haven't announced it yet (perhaps they're waiting on reaction from the audience--not enough and they drop the project).

There's definitely plenty of material, as the 141st chapter was just released a couple of weeks ago.

So, here's hoping the anime picks up where it left off...
