Hiromichi Kojima, the star batter of the Lycaons, heads to Okinawa to train and bring himself out of a slump. There, he meets Toua Tokuchi, a 134-kmph/83 mph pitcher and the undisputed king of a gambling form of baseball called "One Out." At Kojima's urging, Tokuchi signs up with the Lycaons. His contract differs form the usual, though, in that he gets 5,000,000 yen for every out he pitches, but loses 50,000,000 yen for every point he gives up.

The only bad thing about this show is the OP.

Toua+Zip open + half naked + imma-do-you eyes = skip OP

I rewatched episode 13 and then marathoned from episode 14 right up to the end, which is of course episode 25. It was a nice ride but ended abruptly and I believe it uses just over 80 chapters of the manga.....thats about 10 volumes and there are 19 volumes of the manga altogether. That means the manga was very long-winded and apparently of what we have seen in the anime takes the course of only a month.....so most of the manga's timeline takes the course of one season with the Lycaons but the manga is probably more than just that.

If you watch one of the later episodes, it uses something similar or literally the same a track that is in the OST and used in the live-action dorama, Liar Game, the manga for Liar Game is of course done by the same mangaka of One Outs.

The anime was really good but seemed to be a bit repeptitive but actually that wasn't the case, it just felt like that. It was literally about many baseball games that showed how Tokuchi outsmarted his opponents using his "Gambler's Mind".

I'm giving it a 9/10.....it kept me well entertained throughout the whole series but I won't deny that they dragged a couple of the games too long.

Hopefully, there will be a 2nd season that uses up the rest of the manga's material.

Just saw ep 20.

So far so good.
But what is it that will drain Tokuchi's yearly salary in a flash ?

That manager was like looking at his profile ... >_>
Hope its not one of those past events that will lead to the drainage.

Hi... have anyone watch episode 12 from this new sub group yet? Is it any good compare to the original group?

I really want to it, but my quota is low for this month and don't want to waste d/ling something poor.

I just watched a double bill of One Outs, episode 10 and 11 and it was excellent.....the scene was different and tension continued as usual.

Johnson is pretty cool but dumb at the same time and I can't wait for Tokuichi to mess with his head.....he might just quit baseball and go back to track and field.

GO GO LYCAONS!!! XD

Blue Jays?

Watching the Chicago Cubs play at home at Wrigley Field is baseball at its best

So yeah, Tokuchi really knows the rules for Japanese baseball it seems. I don't think I've ever heard of an MLB team willingly forfeit a game ever in my lifetime. Just shows how much he can get into the heads of everyone lol.
