I finally got around to finishing this series and I have to say that it redeems itself quite a bit in the last three episodes. I still think that Kanako would have been a better match for Yumi, but at least I stopped hating Touko so much

I do wonder whether there will be a fifth season, since there is quite a bit of story left to tell, up to Sachiko's graduation. If so, I hope we don't have to wait for it for so long.

But now that this is all over I don't think I can stand it until we get a 5th season. I won't be completely satisfied until this series is brought all the way to the point where Yumi graduates.

The light novels end with Sachiko's graduation, so I doubt they will go beyond that in the anime.

I was for Kanako over Touko as well at first. But after watching this season I think they did a good job showing how Touko isn't really a bratty little rich girl. She's got some complexity inside that drill hair cut head of hers lmao. BTW, she needs to abandon that hairstyle it just might be the worse of all current anime female characters. Plus when you really get down to it Kanako is like an Amazon, simply too tall for a Yumi pairing. Wouldn't be ideal for book or dvd sales haha. Can you imagine the OP/ED changes w/Kanako replacing Touko (embracing Yumi) and the screen distortions it would cause ^^

Naaa.. I can imagine Kanako lifting Yumi off the floor for a cuddle--or more. And once sitting (or even lying) down the height difference doesn't matter anymore anyway. I did get the idea in the OVA that Yumi was actually really charmed by this pretty 'amazon'. Kanako would have really stood a good chance of being picked as a soeur, if only she wouldn't have gone into "crazy stalking bitch" mode in that greenhouse.

Actually am I the only one who is disapointed with Sachiko in the last seasons? I mean in the first seasons though she had some problems and stuff she was always on fire and fighting for what she believes (of course she was still gentle and friendly and all that stuff..) But now she became so passive ok she migh have matured, grown up or smth like that but it seems that she's totally different she's not the person who has that strong aura of respect and elegance anymore... she kinda became just old and a little boring ( that's hard to say for me cause i'm her fan)... I mean i want to see old Sachiko again fighting for Yumi and sometimes even being spoiled a little...

Well devious

you answered your own question. There isn't a need for Sachiko to fight for Yumi anymore.

She has matured and there relationship has mature well pass that point.

I know what u are missing but the show is more about yumi and everyone instead of the current roses

It feels good to be able to marathon the last few episodes of a series as that's what I've been doing this weekend with the shows that are just ending, and now I just finished up Marimite. I think this was my favorite season out of all 4 for Marimite.

I've always been a fan of Touko from when she was introduced, so I really liked how this season went, being very Touko/Yumi centric. It was great to finally learn all the insecurities Touko had and where they all stemmed from so we could finally completely understand why she has been the way she was.

But now that this is all over I don't think I can stand it until we get a 5th season. I won't be completely satisfied until this series is brought all the way to the point where Yumi graduates. We started off with her as the main focus in her freshman year so I want to see it all the way to the end.

If you ask me, I really like Touko's hairstyle as it is...and speaking of Marimite 4 DVDs,....probably the biggest screw up in anime history of DVDs:

(user posted image)

I was just half j/k around about Touko's hairstyle and I've had a change of opinion after watching episode 13. She probably wears it like that to show appreciation towards her adopted mother and just furthers the point that she's often thinking of others. Once again breaking down the negative thoughts we (or the majority of us) had of her last season.

The rest of the episode was well done as we finally get the full backstory on Touko. It was pretty tragic to learn that her real parents died in an accident bringing her home from the hospital after she was born. The waterworks flowed between them, but it was completely understandable. I was like embrace her Yumi and tell her to call you ONEE-SAMA! LMAO. It's what Sachiko would have done haha buuut Yumi seems to be getting more mature in her own way.

So in the end Touko has completely won me over it's impossible to dislike her now buuuuuuut I was a little surprised that we didn't get an official handing over of the rosary. Just a foreshadowing of events to come the next day. Hmm probably ran out of allotted minutes for an episode, talk about STINGY... they could have bent the rules just a bit ^^ Can't wait for more marimite in the future.

Warm Fuzzies Moment? Maybe just a lil bit XD...
