Final got around to watching the encore ova of Ichigo mashimaro, Love it. This show was always up there at the top for nonsensicle humor, great for quick laughs if you don't want to have to get into a big deep plot.

What the heck happened to the character designs? They always have been very moe, but this is coming awfully close to puni plush, which doesn't fit at all. On top of that they screw up some great jokes from the manga.

Yeah I finally got my hands on a subbed version of the OVA's and once again this anime provided me with laugh after laugh. If you can get past the fact that this anime has no plot whatsoever then you will be able to appreciate the greatness of the characters. They all fit perfectly together with contrasting personalities. You have the over the top Miu who is always stirring the pot and jealous when Nobue nee-chan is showing affection to the other girls. Chika the little sister is like the voice of reason and keeps Miu in her place...well as much as you can put Miu in her place that is XD...Ana is genious because she is a english yet she can barely speak the language but yet at school she won't speak japanese because she doesn't want to be seen as the foreigner who can't speak their own native language XD One of my favorite scenes is when the shy Matsuri in her neko outfit turns Nobue nee into an old perverted man of sorts...Plus when Matsuri fires the rubber band at Miu and she goes flying across the room was hilarious and a long time coming...Nobue is my favorite though the scenes where she is working at the family restaurant and the girls keep coming for free food is priceless...Then the battle between her and Miu where they wreck the restaurant had me roflmao...

i found episode (checks) ...5, and (checks) ...it is pretty good quality. hdtv. done by manhole fansubs.

that yakitate japan gif is hilarious.
