Kenshi Masaki is a 15 year-old boy that unwillingly traveled from his home on Earth to the alternate world of Geminar. In Geminar, the countries wage wars using Seikijin, humanoid weapons that were originally discovered within ancient ruins. After being tricked by a mysterious organization into participating in an attempt to assassinate Lashara Earth XXVIII, the young princess of the Shitoreiyu Empire, he ends up captured after he chooses not to kill her. When Lashara hears the truth, she decides to help.
Disguised as her servant, Kenshi moves with her to the Holy Land, a virtually impregnable fortress that serves as an academy to train Seikijin pilots. With his kindness, tenacity, and skills that vary from carpenting to advanced techniques of survival, Kenshi eventually becomes a celebrity in the academy, becoming the object of affection of many female students and making some of the male students envious. However, the same organization who deceived Kenshi is secretly working inside the academy, and a worldwide conflict is about to begin.

Finally got around to finishing this today. I liked the first half of the series, but the second half lost its mojo. I think the odd setting enchanted me early on, but the effect wore off mid-way and nothing else really carried the series. It felt like it was just going through the motions to get it over with, and it wasn't serious an anime enough for me to get attached to the characters. The 45 min format was excellent for the filler-esque and introduction eps, but 45 mins of a jumpy plot for the last half of the series was pretty difficult. Not satisfied with the incredibly open ending either. All that said, I'd probably watch a 2nd season for the filler eps, which were enjoyable. 6/10 from me.

Really like the 45-min monthly ep format though. I think some series could definitely benefit from the approach, and hope more use it in the future.

yeah certainly does feel like it will continue later on
and i agree that it was a long wait between episode but its not as bad as others like gundam unicorn and hellsing ultimate

so in the end no one gets to marry him and all are simply chasing him in mob form
in some says thats a quite envious situation but then he wont be able to choose it seems
well it was fun and there were alot of hilarious moments and i would definately wanna see a sequel but it doesnt seem like its set in stone

Ok with how 13 turned out it seems it gave an ending, but for some odd reason I get this feeling that they will continue on with this in a later OVA series. Just like how the original Tenshi series was I guess.

Never the less even though this was an OVA series it was pretty good to watch, but the only setback would be the time between episodes and that's about it.

Is anyone subbing episode 13? Also what happened to episode 3?

This is an OVA series so it'll be out when it'll be out. As for epiosde 3 it probably din't have a good torrent to get onto the site here.

*edit*
And check the anime request thread since it's already posted on there, but you're going to have to go and look for it.

I wonder why there is no description about this. I almost didn't notice this anime.
I think El Hazard is the best even though it's not a spin off of Tenchi Muyo but most of the characters looks the same.

Yes, bad pacing! That last ep. felt like the stretched standard 22-minute anime episode into a 45-minute one. It's a shame because it actually had some nice action and plot revelations, but there was a ton of wasted time in between.

I think they ruined it with eps 10 and 11. The pacing and flow of the anime has gone from great to AWFUL. All of the earlier eps felt like 45 min eps, this feels like they took 5-10 mini-stories and pasted them together because the transitions are so bad.

These last two eps feel like tales of the abyss (which I dropped).

Very nice anime. Although I never watched the preceeding series it's still understandable to me----love that "alternative world" setting after all!

Is the PV version of the ED out yet?
