Cliche ending with horrible action scenes; I was /facepalming throughout all of episode 25 and 26.

To me one of the worst ending episodes... I was waiting for it very much, now I can say it was not worth it. Lame fight as through all the series... Thery little dramaticism, which was thery stiff. Faldios death was shown like it was something what should happen, and no one even noticed... The 'come back' of every members of the squad 7 was also very stiff... From the other characters only Rosie, Largo and Zaka were developed as for the rest, I had absolutely no feelings since all of them were unknown... no histories, no background of theirs, no feelings seeing them get back home...

The last scene was also dissapointing. I hoped I'll see Welkin and Alicia with flowers by Faldios and Isaras grave saying more moving words. Probably the last scene, a kiss, love sentence, some tears...

All in all I liked the series very much. Could be one of the best series I watched but due to the poor fights and the ending I'll only say that it's worth watching not a 'must watch'. Could be done better in many aspects. Perfect character development.

P.S. Killer_Ossi why do you think Jaeger survived? We only heard a gun shot, and nothing was said or shown... He just perished and was not mentioned... similar to Faldio.

P.S.2 Anyone knows will there be an anime soundtrack? Asking 'cause music in anime was much better than from the game and diffrent in many ways.

Actually, its pretty funny how they do it, but Jaeger does live. If you look at the last episode where the two squad 7 members ( I think Edie..and the blonde dude ) are getting a train ticket, you can see Jaeger walking with a Ryu-style rucksack in the background. He's wearing a light brown trench coat. You can't miss him if you look, but the first time watching, I totally didn't notice ( Since the ending song was so catchy to me, I kept watching it over and over for a minute, and was all like "Oh, so he did live...how ninja-like of them to stick him in that spot." )

So is it safe to say the game has more emphasis on the other characters of Squad 7. The anime made them almost non-existent. =S Some of them hardly got any lines to say at all in the anime.

Don't get your hopes up. The game really only expands on all the other characters of squad 7 in 5-8 sentence profiles. That's pretty much the only way you learn anything about them, though in the context of the game it makes more sense. The game focuses on the main characters Welkin, Alicia, Isara, Rosie, Largo, and a bit on Zaka. They can't really reasonably go into much detail on all the other characters of squad 7 as you have a pool of 50 different characters to fill your 20 man roster.

From what I have been told the game has a bit more depth in most parts save for the exception of Faldio's death of course.

Aside from that this feels like they kept most of the aspects of the game down, but it also felt like they didn't show more of a background of most of Squad 7 in the anime and just focused more along the line of Welkin and Alicia.

Man Faldio went down for nothing. His his whole squad died. Although it was one big sausage-fest.

I was kind of was disappointed how the focus of the story changed to the Valkyrur's. I was kinda hoping the story to shift more onto Welkin and Edelweiss and some epic battles that will lead to the defeat of the empire.

Maximilian ended up being a disappointing generic villain. He seemed to have some potential to be an interesting villain in the earlier episodes. Who would have thought the cliche, desire for power would have been the main reason for his convictions, since he was so mysterious in the early episodes.

Now my question is, does the anime cover for the most part what happens in the game. As I plan to get a PS3 and pick this game up, I would like to know if the plot would be interesting for someone despite have already seen the anime. or did the anime cover practically everything?

EDIT:

Yes the subs do seems to be a tad off.

I know they have this whole thing with ending on 26 episodes but I actually wouldnt have minded them splitting up that last one into two.

Overall a pretty nice ending. A few things I kinda wanted in it though that wasn't necessarily done. I was really hoping for the Alicia x Welkin epilogue with Isara, but unfortunately that didn't happen. And the epic escape from the Marmota. I knew it wasn't going to happen since Isara never built a plane during the show and the mechanics weren't around, but I wish they had made it that way. Despite how kinda cheesy it is to jump onto a flying plane like that to escape, it's kinda cool.

As for Faldio, I like and dislike how they managed his characters death. Compared to the game I always thought his self-sacrifice was a bit unnecessary so the way that was done this time, ie holding back the enemy to give Welkin time to find Alicia, was a bit better. But it just happened and then was pretty much forgotten.

But still overall it was pretty nice. I was happy to see the great moment between Alicia and Welkin when she was going to ignite the Valkyrur's Flame ended up being kept too.

I had kinda hoped they would show us the extended Alicia-Welkin epilogue.  I would have loved to see little Isara again

Yes i wish tht was in here. in the last couple of minutues i was hoping they were going to say "4 years later" or somthing like tht. showing them running a bakery. and welkin as a teacher at Bruhl.

Also another thing why wasnt the 2 mechanics from the game put in. I was hoping he was going 2 be the pilot of the tank instead of zaka since zaka gets his own average tank tht can have diff weapons equiped

I wished Isara was shown building the plane 2 take welkin 2 the skys.wud of loved tht 2 be in there at the end.. showing tht all of the mechanics and Isaras hard work paided of when hesaves them from the tank as it blows up wud of been awesome

Inthe game i was like when Faldio first shot Alicia. we didn't find out in the game for ages was great. and made me completly hate Faldio for the rest of the game. but when at the end he showed up and pulled Maximillian down the hole 2 save Welkin and alicia was much sader made me cry as much as when Isara died. but in the anime i didnt really care about him dieing tht much
