I am actually surprised nobody commented on the OVA. I remember it seemed popular back then.....

That's because this show simply turned uninteresting as it went on. It started out very strong but dragged for most of the series, ultimately leading to a lack of any significant development. The OVA, while amusing, also lacked anything particularly interesting.

Also I am thinking, there is a good chance this anime will have a second season. I dont know how much manga material is left, but it could be enough considering they haven even started to reveal Usuis past. Also, an OVA preceeds a second season often. I think the idea is to remind people of the anime and awaken their interest..... so it could well be, we get some more maidcafe goodness soon.

Considering J.C. Staff is behind this show, it wouldn't suprise me if a second season were announced. I wouldn't necessarily say, however, that an OVA precedes a second season since this was announced long before the series ended that we would get a bonus "episode" on the final blu-ray volume. If anything, this has become more of a norm lately just to get people to buy the blu-ray/dvd for that one or two extra episode. Unfortunately, from what I've seen, the sales for this show hasn't been too hot and that only means even worse when the dvds hit state side this summer. Not to mention that J.C. staff has been slumping in overall quality lately for their shows leaving quite the bad reputation if you ask me.

While I wouldn't mind a sequel, I would at least hope for a better development.

No of course I didnt forget. As soon as the 720p version was out I watched it. Just didnt post because of doubleposting.

And yes, Mizuno was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo freaking hot in the maid outfit it was worth every mb.

Except that it was the obvious light comedy. It was nice to see how everyone was making fun of Misaka and her maid outfit.

And yes I hope we get a second season and that this series doesnt get onto the list of series that sadly never gets a second season even though it had an open end.

MAybe Im really gonna read the manga next when Im through with Cage of Eden.

There isnt a second season so far, but there is an OVA.

Watched it yesterday both raw and subbed, and well, it was sweet in a way. We got to see a selection of the characters, (un)fortunately, the stupid trio wasnt among them.

To make Suzuna and Misakis mum dress up in the maid costume was a neat idea, I bet a lot of hard core KwM fans were delighted.

I enjoyed the scene with the cat at the end the best. I thought it was kind of alegorical how the kitty first scratched Usuis hand and later came back for some cuddling. It reminded me of the type of relationship Misaki and Usui have and I bet thats how it was meant too.

LOL, Suzune was a mysterious character alright, but her voice was a sleeping pill.

I wished they showed more of Usui.... but who knows, maybe there will be a second season.

Nah I must say I got bored of Suzune really fast, I almost hated her in the end since she was so was soo boring and uninteresting.
But yes they shouldve showed us more of the minor characters, such as the other maids or Misakis mother.

The other characters were pleasant, but I do feel that Usui was carrying the show, which might be one of the main problems. Misaki was most interesting when she was reacting to Usui, not so much when she was on her own. But I have to say she did develop a lot over the course of the show. A lot of ppl were put off by her at the beginning, but gradually came to like her more as the series progressed.

I agree. Usui is definitely what made this show worth watching, moreso than Misaki's tsundere attitude towards him. Misaki had her cute points but Usui constantly finding ways to tease Misaki was made each episode actually interesting. If anything, Suzuna was more interesting than Misaki in the end. She's such a mysterious character and I really wished she got more screen time.

I have been reading the manga as well (although I am behind right now), and in recent chapters Usui's background is finally coming to light. Now the scanlations might be behind, I'm not sure, but I think they should have made the anime after more was known about Usui. I agree that they sort of teased us about that, and didn't offer any answers.

Well, I dont even remember, how this show ended, which is really unusual for me. I watch only a few shows per season and usually remember what happened and all.

I am just trying to figure out, if I dropped this in the middle..... or if the show was so weak, it didnt leave any lasting impression. I do remember being disappointed by it at some point...
