Aside from boring plot line, do anyone realize this actually rebellion against bank system.

Instead using paper money, we exchange favor. And actually it new trend to replace bank system.

I guess this series have merit after all. So anyone up to again bank system !!!

6/10 sounds about right. I think Nekomiya and Hitsujikai kind of saved my rating on characters. I think if this series would have had more fighting scenes like those (which reminded me of Birdy Decode... season 3 PLZ ) in episode 11 it could've been a lot more popular. Not to mention that touching a bit more into the romantic field like episode 12 did would've been a good idea.

Edit: Oh and Ryouko's smile = Win.

Well with how this series ended I have to say it was pretty much the open end that we were pretty much expecting. Although I didn't mind how the series turned out, but it could of been a bit more interesting if you ask me.

In any case this series is alright to watch when there's nothing better to do, but still just barley good enough to keep around incase the need to rewatch it arises.

So overall rating of 6/10, in my book, means it was an entertaining series for the time being. If it was as bad as certain people said I would of given this a 4 or a 5 at the most here.

Sheesh !! Although I amuse with what it brought, but it seem to average to the end. Make me wonder the lose of touch is finally reach anime industry. Heaven forbid it going to happen since I have abandon Hollywood stuff.

I guess I guess it just make pass for new viewer to come to "our world" !!

I'd have to agree with most of the opinions already stated. The series was at best average. Its not anything I'd actively recommend other than an 'if you're bored and there's nothing else that interests you, here's a show to waste your time on' kind of way. I never felt the urge to run out and download the most recent episode as soon as it was released, nor was I ever in a rush to WATCH the episode once I had downloaded it.
The characters never had any real substance and the story was rather lacking. I was disappointed with the conclusion - or rather, lack thereof. While there was some mild development of some of the characters, it was overall lacking and I never really felt a connection to any of them (many of them were simple cookie-cutter characters with no growth at all).
Like some others, I found the narration to be more annoying than good. I don't dislike the VA who did it, but it did bother me, especially when she would talk over other characters' dialogue.

Overall, I'd rate the show about a 6.5/10 - decent enough to watch when there's nothing else out there, but don't expect a lot from it.

Talk about a lacking conclusion. As for the whole "happily ever after" pretty sure it wasn't. Episode 12 was filler and the fact that episode 11 left the show hanging was really annoying. The story overall was not very unique even though they parodied various "fairy tales." It ended up being the typical tsundere romance show, which in the end, nothing was resolved.

Animation is rather sub-par coming from J.C. Staff. They can definitely do better than this (see Toradora! and Kaichou wa Maid-sama!). Too many scenes lacked fine details, especially on facial expressions. How could someone possibly be missing one eye for most of the series? At least show that the eye is closed or properly covered. If this was early 2000s I could understand it, but Ryoushi's facial features bothered me to no end throughout the series. Art was generally okay, but mostly due to Ookami looking a lot like Taiga from Toradora!. I found it a bit odd that Shirayuki seemed to be drawn completely out of context compared to everyone else though.

Seiyuus were mostly top-notch for this show, including Miyu Irino, Kanae Itou, Shizuka Itou, Rie Kugimiya, Mai Nakahara, Yui Horie, Satomi Arai, etc... Music was fairly decent. OP was done by May'n and had a nice rhythm to it. ED theme was done by the seiyuus of the show, which wasn't all that great. The video was funny, but the song was very dull. The narration by Satomi Arai (Kuroko Shirai from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun) was priceless from beginning to end.

Character development is about average. There really isn't much to say. We had a few episodes developing some of the members of the Otogi Bank but didn't really get through all of them either like Majolica and Alice. I was also hoping they would dwell more on Ryoushi and Ookami's pasts given that Ringo certainly got quite the development in the Shirayuki arc. In other words, the two main protagonists were left out of the loop.

I can't say I really enjoyed this show. Coming into the series I didn't have very high expectations even though it was a J.C. Staff work. The series basically peaked at around episodes 6 and 7 when Hitsujikai was introduced and after that the series simply faded until episode 10 where it fell flat shortly after. The show just have enough of a push to really make me want to watch it this season, not that many other recent shows have done so either.

Overall, long-story short (no pun intended), the show fell flat on its face. It began dull and ended dull. The rewatch value is close to none unless a sequel is made. Even if this is coming from J.C. Staff, given how the narration was put, a sequel is slim to none.

Preliminary Expectation: Low
Preliminary Score: 6/10

Final Expectation: Low
Final Score: 6/10

Hmm, the last episode was nice but it lacked something of a climax. It was predicable how Ookami would react (if they want to make a second season....any idea of that is going to happen?) and somehow the part when she and Ringo were watching the date didn't seem very convincing.
For the whole series i must agree with Accipiter1. It lacked the depth to really be above average. Some characters were so plain and sometimes annoying. That said it was entertaining sometimes so it gets a bit of credit. For me a second season with some more depth would be nice. So in all i would give it a 6.5 out of 10.

In the end this show was Meh. Just Meh. I think they had a nice set-up for something much better, but it never really lived up to it's potential. The fairy tail parodies could have been more concise, the narrartion could have been sharper, the romance could have been built up more, characters could have been more fleshed out, and the OP could have had a guitar intro instead of those lame keyboards (ruined an otherwise good May'n performance). But that's not the way it happened. This is one of those shows that may provide momentary entertainment from time to time when you are watching it, but will be completely forgotten by the end of the next season. 6/10 may be fairly generous rating.

Haha it's me again. I'm surprised this anime doesn't have more of a discussion going on in this thread.
Well, I just saw the finale and "I don't dislike him..." dammit Ookami!! I was really hoping she would come out and say that she likes him, but I guess that would be too out of character, this is as good as we're going to get.
Machiko reminded me a lot of Lum (Urusei Yatsura) with her constantly calling Ryoushi "darling!!" I thought her story was really uninteresting and predictable, I would have preferred for the finale to be more special. However, I did like the fireworks at the end and Ryoushi confessing his undying love for the 3rd time.

In the end I ended up giving the anime 7/10, initially I was going to give it a 6, but I did like Ookami Ryouko's character, such a classic tsundere.
As I mentioned in the above post, I also liked how they tied in various fairy tales with a twist.
One of the main problems for me though, was that aside from Ryouko, none of the other characters really stood out.. I mean they were all just stereotypical characters, like the mad scientist chick, the maid, the serious secretary and the mischievous president of the club. It would have been better if their roles could have been expanded a bit.

I feel this anime is kinda mediocre compared to JC Staff's other works, but still I am enjoying it. Mostly because I love Itou Shizuka as Ookami-san. I am having a hard time warming up to Ringo though, and the narrator still irritates me, especially when she is talking at the same time as the characters are. I do like Kuroko's VA in Railgun and some other shows, but here she gets on my nerves.
Another thing I did like about the show was the allusions to various fairy tales, I thought that was neat. One episode left, I wonder how they will end it..
