So we get the final episode and what a hell on earth...It was the worst episode of the series. It failed to have a good story, it lacked excitement or good humor and even the fights which should have been good/humorous were badly made. At one moment it got really repetitive...Even the final scene could be "booted" (hint) since it really was terrible. I can't say anymore than this episode didn't use the potential of the characters or anything else for that matter.

The whole series itself ain't very strong. Nothing what can be called a story. The characters did have a few good ones (like Yuki and Harumi (who started worthless and got better through the series except for the last episodes again..) but the bad ones were more prominent like a useless kappa. Humor was sometimes okay but again a lot was to be desired due to the bad characters. Music and animation were not so good either. The ending really was worthless so that ain't helping either to raise my opinion of this series.
In all this series was sometimes humorous so it did what it had to do. I would say a 6 out of 10.

The best comedy of the season next to fireball charming.

the finale was very over the top as expected from a 1st class director. (Yoshitomo Yonetani).

Enma-kun Meeramera...based off a popular 1970s manga. This is the third Enma-kun series.

Story-wise....obviously the weakest aspect of this show...because there wasn't one. The manga was pure comedy and ecchi to begin with. Looking at it from a comedy perspective, some of it was funny, but other times it was retarded. The last episode made me go wtf? But of course, I love these type of crazy moments since it's unique to only a handful of shows out there and Dororon Enma-Kun Meeramera certainly fits the bill.

Animation was very good as expected from Brains Base. Nothing to note here except that it was solid from beginning to end.

Music was decent, not fantastic though. Bgms were great even though they were remixes of the OP instrumental.

Enjoyment? Not really. The show was overly silly, moreso than it probably need to be to drive the point home. I'm aware that it's comedy and ecchi driven more than action, but even when watching from a comedy stand point, this show does so much that it hurts itself more than doing itself any good.

Overall, it's nice comedy relief and had a very similar feel to Panty and Stocking. Having seen the 1970s Enma-kun, this one just doesn't compare. The art and animation no longer match the context of the series's genre. I won't compare this to Kikoushi Enma though since they are different source materials as Goblinator pointed out earlier.

Preliminary Score: 5/10
Final Score: 5/10

A lusty, orgy lovin, finale...all courtesy of my rascally Eroma-kun's circlet. I watched and laughed and said, "enough already! I get it!" Glad to see the two love birds are finally off to live happily ever after... consummating their love amid the madness was a tad silly but whatever... I had high hopes in the beginning, only to watch it wither with each passing episode. (hell, can't even remember now what those high hopes were, tbh) Still, it was fun and sometimes boring, but I thought I would hang with the sheer craziness to the very end in a fun way...6/10.

Ok so I guess Eroma lived up to his name at the end here. Of course he really enjoys his time with Yukihime it would seem.

Although he would go after any girl that was rather busty mind you as well.

In any case at least Empi metnioned as to why his "ability" was sealed away though. And to think that it was way to ero eor that Empi complained about it in the end. Although pretty much it seems that little bit between Eroma and Yukihime not only broke his seal but we even knew what happened to his parents in the end as well.

Not a bad series if you ask me, and it did live up to it being ecchi and showing off a lot of parody moments as well.

Overall score for me, I'd put it around 8.7/10 since it was a fun and ecchi series. Also, it seems that they could do a second season if they wanted to here.

Finally its over this totally awful show. To be honest I dont even know why I didnt drop it. Probably because of Yukiko-hime and Enpi and their ecchniess. But that was really the only good thing about the show. Lame plot, lame characters, sh*tt* comedy and horrible animation (but likely intended).

3/10 from me.

Nope. I've only watched anime all my life. Putting aside Asian drama and sci-fi shows/movies I haven't ever watched sitcoms. And no, I have not read Belgian/French comics nor have I watched South Park. I'm aware that Enma-kun is as old as 1973. In fact, I've seen the 1973 Enma-kun recently (a year or two ago). For some reason, however, this "alternative" version is simply not as amusing. Maybe it's because the modern animation style just doesn't suit this show. Even watching from the perspective of the 1970s version, I still can't get a grasp of this show like I could with the original.

You were trying to figure out what the show was trying to pull and I answered you. Whether you like it or not is none of my concern, but keep in mind that the 1973 Enma-kun anime wasn't at all like the manga; the new one is. I explained it above, Go Nagai gave the concept to Toei for the anime, and then he went on to make the manga version which this new one is based on. The Toei anime was more of an adventure with some comedy mixed into it while the manga was just ecchi comedy, in the likes of Kanokon and the rest. Different stroke for different folks.

HARUMI IS NOT ANNOYING. Ok, with that said, you're doing it wrong. Enma-kun isn't watched or read for the overarching story. Do you read Belgian/French comics? What about those sitcoms you watch on tv? Or even a better example, how about Doraemon or even South Park? Do you read or watch any of those for the destination, or to get a quick laugh? But you might respond, "they don't do this kind of stuff in anime", yeah not much anymore, but Enma-kun is as old as 1973. Monster of the week content were much more common back in the days. If Enma-kun made you laugh every episode with its retro and ecchi antics, then that's really all it was aiming for.

Monster-of-the-Week is my kind of thing. I loved the Monster-of-the-Week episodes of X-Files than the actual main "Myth" plot of the series and the monster-of-the-week episodes on Supernatural are pretty good and so are the ones for FRINGE, which are actually EPIC.

I haven't watched this series yet but seems to be one that I should really check out soon.

Thanks for said info., but I was already well aware of the origins of this one and that, after having watched a few OVAS of Go Nagai World. I enjoyed the dark version of Enma and company very much so it was irrelevant to me whether it was true to the manga or not. I needed a dark dose of Eroma-kun in order to wrap this current one up.

What I'm trying to say is, even though they share the same characters, Kikoushi Enma is not Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera as they're not using the same source material. So you shouldn't expect Kikoushi Enma atmosphere in this new show.

Having seen 11 episodes, all I can say is that I'm still at a lost to what this series is trying to pull. It's fun sometimes, but Harumi is such an annoying character. The whole Soul thing or whatever confused me to no end this episode, and I fail to see even a story in this series. It feels like there is one there, but it's so deeply hidden that it's essentially non existent. Anyone care to enlighten me prior to the finale?
