( a should've been a long ago comment.... but enways here it goes....) like most here....i think the mecha part kinda spoil the mood... there are a lot of ideas that doesn't seem to match the current setting of the story... could have been better if they have enriched the spiritual aspect and focused less on the mecha thingy...

After watching the series I thought they could have dropped the whole Mecha idea concentrated more on the priestess ideal and it would have turned out even better. The mecha seemed to take away from more character development. It seemed everytime some interesting character tidbits were about to be revealed some writer jumped up and yelled "OH NO! Throw some random mecha in there and take up the next 15 minutes of the episode!!!!". I dunno, maybe just me I enjoy it when there is much much more character development.

Of course, I always wondered how their relationship would develop when they met again. One would be fairly older than the other now, now that has some pervy potential.

Hee hee

I agree with what people have said about the mecha aspect of this show. I found it boring. I actually don't mind a few fight scenes, but it's the same thing over and over again. Can't they come up with some more interesting powers?

One thing I really didn't like was the voice of Himeko in the English dub version. It really grated on me, sounding like forced baby-talk. Since it seems English speakers don't imitate certain Japanese speech patterns very well, I think they should tone it down a bit.

That said, I did like this series enough to buy it!

I wish the ending had been a little more definitive too, but at least they gave us something...even if it was only a shot of chest and a necklace.

hm... yeah mecha wasn't that good but these series were al about the storyline and all the developing and about their meeting I think this time it was different cause it seemed like they met few years later

I liked this series but also thought it had some significant flaws.

For one thing, the attempt to meld magical girl with mecha just felt clunky from start to finish. It's not like you can't blend the two, My-Hime managed to fine, but in this series it just never quite came together right. I basically glazed over the mecha fights and focused on the love triangle which was the better part of the series.

I liked how boy and the dark haired miko (it's been awhile so I dont recall their names) really cared for the other miko, I mean, you could really feel the passion/angst/pining. Granted, I found the object of their affections a little too shy/helpless for my taste, even for that stereotype of anime girl. I just didn't see quite why the other two would be so in love with her, but if you just accept it and roll with it, the love story actually is quite touching.

I just wished they had given a better explaination for why it seemed fate was so cruel to the two miko, maybe I need to rewatch it but that whole story aspect just seemed underexplained to me.

Still, for a yuri series, it was quite touching and not at all sensationalizing.

Of course, I always wondered how their relationship would develop when they met again. One would be fairly older than the other now, now that has some pervy potential.
