In order to save refugees, a secret organization, Mithril, deployed troops including Sosuke to Republic of Balik where the civil war continued. They armed state of the art weapons. However, they were counterattacked by the government army, and they had powerful arms that could match Mithrils. They drove Sosuke riding in the Arbalest to the wall.

And didn't KyoAni not release anything this last season (Fall 2010)?  I hope they're not falling under for their recent anime failures like Haruhi S2.  They do well at combining 3d Graphics with anime.  I'd say FMP's mechas were better animated than all the other Gundam anime series.

Pretty sure KyoAni is not going anywhere with the Disappearance of Haruhi movie's soaring sales along with K-ON!! still being released. They're likely working on the upcoming K-ON! movie and Nichijou, which has a tentative release date for April. Also, KyoAni usually does 2 big titles per year. K-ON!! and Disappearance of Haruhi were the two for 2010. Nichijou is likely to be one for 2011 and K-ON! movie as the second.

AIR, Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid in 2005
Kanon 2006 and Haruhi in 2006
Kanon 2006, Lucky Star, and Clannad in 2007
Clannad and Clannad ~After Story~ in 2008
Clannad ~After Story~, Munto TV, K-ON!, Haruhi 2009 in 2009
Disappearance and K-ON!! in 2010
Nichijou and K-ON! movie in 2011 and something else? maybe Full Metal Panic?

Note the above also consists of shows carrying over. in 2009, Haruhi 2009 was a very low budget show, essentially no cost at all since over half of the new episodes were essentially the same episodes, and then you had the original 14 just slapped in between everything, so the actual big titles in 2009 were Munto and K-ON! while Clannad ~After Story~ simply carried over from 2008. This also explains why KyoAni's quality deteriorated as the year went on since most of the budget was likely spent in the early part of the year on Clannad and Munto.

ooooOOooooh~
That's awesome!

Full Metal Panic continues to be one of my favorite animes of all time. Seeing more of it can't be bad (at least for me). They've got almost a part of every genre; action, drama, comedy, ecchi, adventure. You may even say fantasy and magic.

FMP is so confusing, in my opinion when it comes to the manga. It may not be confusing for others but I started reading mid-way and had to backtrack so I got lost. I actually have like half the books. Some in english, some in japanese. I would LOVE to see these get animated, though. And if it were to get animated, I hope they advertise it well.

Now FMP:TSR had an epic commercial that showed before the airing of the anime. And if you saw it before you watched FMP:TSR, I hope you know what I mean (The commercial that starts off as a TV news broadcast). That commercial is probably on the top in terms of anime preview commercials that I've seen. I really hope they have something that can hype you up like that commercial again if the anime airs.

And didn't KyoAni not release anything this last season (Fall 2010)? I hope they're not falling under for their recent anime failures like Haruhi S2. They do well at combining 3d Graphics with anime. I'd say FMP's mechas were better animated than all the other Gundam anime series.

1 year later we get news of a new Full Metal Panic coming?

Not sure if I should be happy about this news or not given what they're "trying" to animate.

Okay lets see :

...while Gatoh is still just starting his plans for another all-new series with mecha and weapons. In addition to the collection of Full Metal Panic! short stories, Gatoh indicated that "a little interesting project related to Full Metal is in the works.

So whats the problem? We get to see the non-serious thing first (oh well) but then some time later (assuming we get through y2012) we get a normal series
So be happy

T_T Hopefully this may mean more faithful adaptations soon though.

One can dream. This was the first anime compelling enough to get me to look up the written form.

There is certainly potential for more seasons as The Second Raid covered to the end of the 2 Ending Day by Day novels, which is only half of all the full length light novels currently released so far. I really just think it's only a matter of time cause, as Julez said, Kyoani has a lot planned and don't really work on multiple projects at the same time.

I heard that there is enough material for a 4th season, but with Kyoani having their hands tied right now doing Clannad ~After Story~ and Haruhi s2 (who knows when that's coming out....but hopefully very soon) I can't see a 4th season coming anytime soon... maybe in one or two years... lets keep praying!

possibility seems to be high. I've heard that Lucky Star (which Gatou worked on a few eps of) has quite a bit of FMP references and some that can be considered hints of another season, but I havene't seen it so don't hold me to that. Either way, I'm just saying there's nothing concrete at the moment, only speculation.
