During the winter, Yuichi was hospitalized due to hepatitis. Randomly he would try to escape from the hospital but would get beat up by the nurse. One day, he happened to meet Rika, a girl of his age, in the next building. He was fascinated by her beauty, but she was very selfish girl. Although she led him by the nose, he began to be attracted by her. However, when Rika told him about her illness, he knew why she acted so selfish; she didn't have long to live.

riiiiight.... i'd like to know what "second season" your talking about...? this was a solid 6 episode series with no continuation as far as i know, my guess is you got the wrong anime

This has to probably be one of the best animes I have ever seen, watched it 2-3 weeks ago now, and I just want to keep watching it over and over again. Great Story!

Just finished this short, but sweet series and I thought it was great. A great romance story about young love that's strong enough to last despite the fact that they know it will end in a few years. Yuuichi is only 17 and yet he's willing to push everything back to stay by Rika's side for the short time she has left in this world. It's very touching. This series doesn't lend itself though to a continuation. It's really just better to believe that the two of them continue living happily until the fateful day when Rika will have a second attack. Maybe an OVA would be possible just showing the time around when that finally happens. I wouldn't really mind something like that.

This show was actually beautiful. The character drawings were nice. I loved the opening song and have already downloaded it and the entire story is sweet and it has that beautifully quality of hoping against all odds. I doubt it will because continued because as J-san said there's not much to continue. Besides, I would like to imagine them living out their lives as joyfully together until her time runs out. I was so proud of him for sticking by her. It's virtually impossible for even twice his age to make that choice and he showed himself to be a real man who knows what he wants and want shirk the responsibility that comes with it. I'm definitely keeping this one.

They could but I seriously doubt it though, coz wat could they develop on........they'll make into Suzuka style..........how the manga continued with continuous twists of other girls liking the main male protagonist, causing the main female protangonist to become jealous, selfish and angry towards the main male.

Yeah, despite all that, I still would like to see a continuation.

Yup this is a lovely short series, but I would wanted the girl to be more selfish and harder to get, like Suzuka, but I guess it was done like this because its only 6 episodes and not 26 episodes.

But its a warm and convincing tale.

I'm trying to download it now. Since J-san likes it I'm sure it must be pretty good. And I also saw that it was compared to Honey & Clover, which I loved. Hopefully the download will finish soon.
