Punie is next in line to become queen of Magical Land. However, she must spend a year on Earth before she can inherit the throne, so she transfers into a school in Japan. She's usually a sweet and beautiful girl... that is unless someone does something to displease her. Then, she won't hesitate to whip out her magic stick and cheerfully rain bloody destruction down on the hapless fool, or barring that, simply use wrestling moves she calls "Submission" to punish them. Accompanied by her animal mascot Paya-tan, who makes regular attempts on her life (still bitter about being defeated and then forcibly recruited from Waku Waku Mascot Village), and forced to fend off random attacks by various people from her Kingdom who all have different reasons for wanting her dead, she must complete this year of training on Earth without fail.

Tanaka Punie is a transfer student from Magical World. She is a mischievous princess whose martial arts is better than magic. Not to mention, she aims at the conquest of the Earth. Those who resist her will be pushed by the body language, or joint-lock. Usually, she is a bit stupid and cute girl, but actually she is a cold-blooded princess who is very brutal and heartless.

Wow, another series I discovered late. But what a fun one this is! Yes, it has some semblance with Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, since Tsutomu Mizushima did the screenplay and direction for both. I personally like the main character of this show a lot better though. I mean, c'mon, she's an evil magical girl who still kicks butt when she is derived of her powers--by using submission techniques. Hilarious.

The OP is also fantastic. I have to refrain myself from shouting "Lyrical Tokarev, kill them all!" all the time. It's too bad this one didn't get turned in to a full TV-series, but I guess that Mizushima is busy enough as it is with Dokuro-chan.

a gem?? wow ... i guess everyone has their own tastes..
this was , BY FAR, the stupidet anime i have ever seen... i wouldn't even cmopare this to dakuro chan.. have seen plentyof animes using cutesy girls mixed with strange violence and blood..but htis one just did not workat all... it was just plain stupid.... S T U P I D ....

I too saw a simularity to Dokuro-chan...at first but a few episodes in this one seemed to be much funnier. The main complaint me and almost everyone I've talked to about it(Dokuro-chan) was the nonstop use of the same violent punchline followed by the same "magical girl" scene over and over.

This series almost followed the same footsteps with the non-stop use of the "magical girl" scene but after the first few episodes it limited the transformation to one per ep., if that. After that between the OP theme song, the mascot w/ multiple personality sindrome, a princess using submission moves to pummle her foes, and my favorite, a potato commiting suppaku w/ a peeler this series is freakin hilarious. Unfortunatly though this is shaping up to be another gem that flies under everyones radar.

Dai Mahou Touge is actually a pretty famous title. For the anime, I think lots of the humour may be lost in translation or it's not so funny after translating into English, that is the problem I think.

I've watch it once(episode 1). It feel like they want to do another "Dokuro-chan" but it seemed that i didn't went LOL like how i did when i watched the first episode of Dokuro-chan(No offence) Plus,the characters aren't really that STUPIDLY FUNNY except for Anego's friends..,their faces really made me WTF.. None of them looked like females except that green haired girl...

In Dokuro-chan,the first 'Action' scene where Sakura-kun saw Dokuro-chan naked and ended up blasting his brain out after getting a beat from her made me WTF + LOL.

In Punie-chan,the first 'Action scene where Punie-chan summoned those vegetables made me WTF + Silence + Thinking it's kind of too kiddy..
Luckily,the next scenes where Punie-chan showed her Submission skills save the episode...a little bit.

Think Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan or Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo

something along those lines..
