Kawahira Keita was a descendant of historic Inugami(*) tamer family. However, because he lacked in its ability, he was forsaken by the family. One day, an Inugami named Yoko came. She looked graceful, obedient, above all, beautiful. Soon he contracted with her, and she paid homage to him. However, she was a problematic Inugami that no one had been able to control.

This is a slap stick comedy of an Inugami Tamer, Keita and an Inugami, Yoko. Keita is a man of worldly passions, and he likes money and girls very much. On the other hand, Yoko likes to destroy things and very jealous.

(*) In this novel, Inugami is a sacred being. It contracts with a human with power to help him exterminate evil monsters.

No. You wouldn't need to see the series beforehand and there are no spoilers either. The only problem you might have is learning the characters' names straight off the bat.

Though I would recommend the actual series over the movie. The movie does have higher quality, but the series has more action (and some weird pervertedness, but the movie is probably on the same level) and some really good parts like the episodes at the half way mark and the last few episodes.

The Movie reminded me of many "TV Special" episodes from other series. Not a lot new there, and a bit sillier than usual, but more of what the fans expect from the series. I wasn't sure if it was set before the end of the TV series or at some point in the future after they've sorted out the 'wandering soul' shenanigans.

The Manga scanlators don't seem to be far into the story, the most recent release is the Demon chicken mini-arc.

Normally, the translators/scantlators host their own projects for manga, so go to the forum section of the translator's site (HERE) and go to the downloads section and they have up to the latest Inukami chapter released. You have to register before you can download from there though.

OK I'm really annoyed with this movie and like it at the same time... well kind of like it.

Hey what ever happened to them finding Karou spirit??? have I missed something or what??? I feel lost here someone please tell me whats happened to that part?

I wish the manga was translated so I can read that as wel.. sigh.

Oh well gotta love Youko not wanting to jin Keita and his....Hentainess.... "RUN GIRL BEFORE HE TURNS YOU INTO ONE!!!!!"

Well I must admit that that "movie" did keep to what the series was infamously known for, that and having Keta wearing nothing at all. Yeah to say that he isn't perverted while not having any clothes on.... yeah you're not perverted at all. *rolls eyes*

Although I thought the party at Keta's place was kind of interesting. I mean who would of guess that Karou's Inukami would be with Keta and act like that. Although it was good fun never the less.

The movie was ok it just reminded me why I liked the series so much and wish they do another season.

The scene with the party at Kieta's place was great.

To think Sedan was the one that kicked everything off

But as always the great Rou comes through in the end, by the way is it me or do the people of the night run that city
