watched the third OAD, it was fun. Being straight from the manga, it was nothing new, but it was nice to see alot of my favoite moments from "that" chapter animated

2 things.

1st, FINALLY the Negima?! was subbed entirely.  A little late on this as the last episode was released a month or so ago.  Though the show really wasn't all that good aside from visually due to Akiyuki Shinbo and how awesome he is.

The original fansubbers (REMOVED) did all but epi. 26. That episode was ripped from Crunchyroll by Horrible-Subs.

I'm just now working on getting the original series uploaded. Give me a week for that.

Now for the 2nd and much much better bit of information.  Apparently what I posted last time has come true to some extent.

A new series of OAD, 4 episodes to be exact, will be coming out with manga volumes starting this summer.  From the sound of it these OADs will actually cover something worthwhile this time around, the Mahou Sekai arc.  Although I have absolutely no clue how far that would go cause 4 OADs just isn't anywhere near enough to cover everything that has happened so far in the Magical World.  Luckily Akiyuki Shinbo is back as director so at the very least things should look good.  Then after this, depending on how things go, a possible theatrical film adaptation.

The OAD (or OVA) is is two parts. The first one White Wings is a three parter. But we all know that. The second OVA is a two-parter being made for the summer season.

Please don't provide the names of the groups subbing licensed series.

yeah episode 26's sub job was horrid . the bottom of the frame streteched down and out. over quality was just bad, but im glad its over. at least i can close the book on this one now.

The orginal negima series was much better. Negima!? was just too wacky, tho there were parts i liked, there animal forms were cute. but like Neo, i think/thought the 3 card pactio system was dumb. Im all for wacky animes, heck im an uber fan of FLCL, but its wrong and dumb to take a serious anime and change to be sumthing looney.

Negima is like japan's version of marvel.

they take a good idea, and keep reinventing/retelling the story until... well i lost my train of thot(im tired) but i think u get the jiff of what im saying.

Iam looking forward to the OAD's and a movie sounds great, i just hope they dont "retell" the story. I dont even care if the movie is about sumthing unrelated to the current manga, well, i do care a bit about that, but id prefer a side story movie to an retelling of the series

I wouldn't call it subs considering the resolution was horrid.....It was like watching an rmvb file, but whatever. It also seems like that Negima will continue with OADs which is what it should do since they are significantly better than the two preceding series.

The new OVA was absolutely terrible. Shaft f***ed it up again. I don't care if anyone says "but it's like the manga." Bulls***. Shaft ruined it AGAIN!

What did they ruin though? I just watched it and it was pretty much the manga animated. The character designs are extremely close to Akamatsu's and it was very well done. The only problem is what part of the manga they animated, but I knew it was gonna be a boring part of the manga from the beginning anyway. They did rush the beginning though as they cover the end of the fight with Chao and her leaving in about a minute total. Then very breifly gave the reasoning for going to the magic world. They also for some reason included the scene where Asuna finishes her training in the arctic, but they don't tell you why she was ever there to begin with which kinda destroys the reason to show any of it. After that it was fine. Still wish they would animate the mahora festival and martial arts tournament though.

Also interesting thing I just read on the wiki article for Negima.
"From the Negi no Ochakai event that was held on May 2008, Ken Akamatsu mentions that if preorders for the first of the OVAs exceeds 50,000, the staff would consider a film adaptation and 100,000 for a third animated series. The counter at the official website is actually the number of orders for all three OVAs. The counter reached just over 82,000 before the first OVA was released."

I hope this is true and they could do a third series of the whole magic world arc that's going on right now. Preferably with the style of this OVA.

Ok, if you can't tell me about the location of the series, can you tell me about the activity of the fansubbers?
I have searched heaven, hell and earth and I only found subbed up to episode 23.
But the series already ended and the subbers site's (Mahora) last update is from April.
What confuses me is that the last file they uploaded unto torrent is a month old.

I ask this because I live in Portugal.
As such, there is absolutely no chance of getting the series other that downloading.
It would be expensive, hard to find and would take a long time.
That's why I'm fishing.

"can't tell"?

Does that mean you know?

I also live in Portugal and it's very expensive and takes a lot of time to buy the series so is much more easy downloading it.

If I'd live in U.S I'd undestand why the series are licensed but in Portugal the series aren't even showing on the TV.

: ( there are only 3 episodes left that haven't been subbed/uploaded. Why did it have to become licensed now!....After I watched all 23 episodes and now I might never be able to watch the rest.....

It's been licensed for a while now. I think the subbers are still going, but I think they currently lack staff to finish the project...

anyone else still lol-ing at the topic description
