Jul 21 2007 04:28 AM i love love love short series, because you can finish them off in 1-2 days without a problem and Hataraki Man was it...i absolutely loved it! Because it was so realistic, she was questioning her own womanhood because she took work so seriously, the whole sexist thing i won't bother going into because everyone knows what im talking about here...
loved the part when that long black haired girl was getting married and she caught the bouquet of flowers and she said something along the lines of how maybe unlike most girls being a bride isn't the most important thing/dream, but becoming the 8th samurai was...it was sucha cool line...i probably ruined just by the crap summarizing i just did above =)
I think i disagree with you there
Hyuuga-sama because she really did solve alot of her personal issues in the fact that before she was questioning her womanhood and all and why she was working for no absolute reason and putting so much effort, she kept questioning that throughout the series, but in the end you could see that she was more comfortable with herself and that just because she was so career oriented and loved her work so much didn't mean she wasn't a woman, she liked her work, and what's wrong with doing what you love right?
its sad cuz i can totally relate to her, 10 yrs down the line i wouldn't be surprised if i was a workaholic like her =|...questioning my womanhood because i put too much effort into work...wait..i do that now with school..mannnn....
finally, last comment on the series, i liked the ending when she said some days her work made her cry, but other days it was her salvation, wonderful line there....all in all that line ended the series up pretty well, only thing i wished we could have seen was her and stakeout boy build more of a relationship, the only time we could see that was when a) they had the stake out and b ) in the last episode...is there a manga continuation? i hate it when that happens...if anybody knows then please let me know! thanks *ps sorry for the long post! =)
