The long war against Frost Republic scarred many places of the Empire; famine, plague, returned soldiers who become bandits� Worrying about these "war damages" resulting from the devastations of the nation and people's minds, the Empire Army orgnaizes the 3rd section of Information Bureau known as "Pumpkin Scisors", and they assigned the section for the duty of recovery from the war damage.

Three years have passed since the truce so called "thin ice agreement". The 3rd section hasn't accomplished their task, yet. Rather, they are absorbed in paper works, and without notice, people ridicule that it is an "Excuse Section" that... (there are more)

I agree, aside from the OP for Kiss Dum Planet Engage this year, that has to be one of my top 2 OP's of 2007.

The double edged sword fight with Alice was one of the bets fight scenes I've seen for a chick.

True, that and Alice's double bladed sword are really the only things that make the series worth watching. Well there is Mer-kun but while he is great he doesn't "make" the show for me. Although both the OP and ED are awesome and its rare for a show to have an ass kicking OP and ED.

The last 6 episodes RUINED the entire series because they DRAGGED the situation in the ballroom from an automatic 2 episode fight to a 5 episode fight between the princess and the other guy. The start of the series had yes, potential. The series is similar to Code Geass, but PS didn't exactly say that this was post war Germany, unlike CG which tells the timeline in history.

But if there was a 2nd season, I would watch it..only if 13 episodes were made. Alice's "fiance" sure is a POS and left the ending open ended, for a potential 2nd season. I still remember watching it on Crunchyroll, and after the final episode was uploaded, 3 days later ADV wanted it shut down.

This series started as a bucket filled with potential, in which they immediately proceeded to dump into the gutter. What were they thinking? I don't think they were.

Would I watch it again? Maybe with a friend who hasn't seen it before.

Would I buy it? No.

That last episode was the worst of them all. I mean, wth! In the last five minutes they suddenly drop a "Oh here is the underlying plot, no we won't resolve it, and, oh yeah, since we have been lacking on the ENTIRE SERIES, here is a main villain for you all. The End."

Do I recommend this to anyone? If you don't have anything better to watch, then sure but if they don't come out with a second season, I wouldn't bother.

Of course, if they did, I would be one of the first in line to watch it, if only to find out what the hell is going on. (And some more blue-glow cans of badassery.)

I think there will be a season 2, because of the villains in the end were able to escape. Alice is also one of the good looking anime characters, even she was plain looking. I didn't even know she was around 18, even she was an officer. What I didn't like about the series was that the last 6 episodes dragged on, the scenes in the ballroom. I can still remember Alice fighting the army battalion with a 2 edged sword which was WAY bigger than her. That was an awesome scene.

actually a friend of mine have this dvd.. so he lend me and here i goes.. i become so obsess in this anime's heroine
just my luck tough.. but i'm really gratefull for oportunity to watch this anime...

u were still able to watch it? I watched the entire series on crunchyroll many months ago, and exactly 3 days after the series ended, ADV who licensed the series, had it halted. They had it dubbed recently.

wew i just finish watch this anime today and wow Alice L. Malvin looks very much like saber, she's looks very lovely and cute, especially when she's blush cause being watch by oland... if i can, i will snatch her and keep her in my home <3
btw Randel Oland for me looks like giant sagara sasuke from FMP don't you all agree???
anyway i really looks forward for pumpkin scissors season 2... of course my reason just simple.... i want to watch another cute alice in action
