Well I suppose your avatar made that clear.

However, I'm curious what are you feelings on seeing Tea the Lacus look a like?

LOL read my post from about five months ago: http://boards.fansub.tv/index.php?showtopi...indpost&p=90532

I really don't have any particular feeling, because I claimed them both. However, I do prefer Lacus over Tea. A lot cuter

Well, to even though I gave this anime series a weak review I'm not altogether disappointed in it. However, the Gundam SEED reproduction-ism is really hard to over look. Also, it may not be that people don't like this anime series per say but it more of the fact that mecha series are not as versatile in the audience that other anime series have. Well, that and many people also don't like mecha (just to be clear I do like mecha lol).

More over, this idea really isn't as interesting or captivating as any other mecha series and there are many mecha series coming out right now (or at least recently) and it gives people the feeling that they should give up and move on after a couple of episodes to another mecha sereis since there are so many out right now (or in other words cut their losses since they have a choice right now).

I guess its just me being a mecha fan and a gundam fan at the same time

I'm really surprised no one liked this series... aside from the fact that its a GSD rip-off.

To be honest I'm really a bit sad that there aren't many good reviews out there. (This is my aim right now; to bring tonnes and tonnes of reviews)

Number of Episodes: 12

Plot:
As far as I can tell from the first 3 episodes this anime series is about something called a Olynssis which is a disturbance in space and time. When a Olynssis occurs it seems that people can either be thrown into the past or the future. However, these Olynssises also seem to be a power that can be harnessed.

This anime series also takes place in the future - 3567 AD - although by looking at it you might think otherwise. The plot revolves around a small crew of 'hunters' who fight mecha/organic (I think) things called Gardeners, who are invaders from the moon, and then sell the parts. This hunter crew is made up of Jin, Misuru, Yousuke, Airi, Bryan, and Tokito Aizawa.

Later, Tokito is mistaken for a man named Koichi Aizawa by a girl named Tea. Tea then spirits Tokito away into a gardener like mecha named Silver Olynssis (hence the name of the anime series Gin-Iro Olynssis [Olynssis of silver] I guess?). FYI Gin-iro means silver color. Tokito then pilots the Silver to fight gardeners and save a town (with Tea). Anyhow, silver is somehow a part of Tea too so all damage done to the mech silver is also inflicted on her. Oh, and this little meating of Tea and Tokito was all orchestrated by a girl named Serena who I'm going to say is probably Tea's sister (based on my intuition).

This is what I have gathered so far.

Characters:

Tokito - Co-pilot of Silver with Tea and mechanic for his hunter group
(user posted image)

Tea - Co-pilot of Silver with Tokito. She thinks Tokito is someone named Kouichi. It also seems she was thrown into the future (or past) and has no memory of previous events except Kouichi.
(user posted image)

Serena - Little is known about her but she was the one who orchestrated the meeting between Tokito and Tea. She is also known as the "Beauty of calling puzzle" or something like that (That's what I tried to understand from the Japanese site)
(user posted image)

Misuzu - Pilots a mech called a Crawler (its the best Shinsen Subs came up with). She is also a childhood friend of Tokito and seems to have feelings for him (i.e. much like every other anime story there is some sort of love triangle).
(user posted image)

Yousuke - He is the leader of the pilots in the hunter group. It also seems he has a thing for Misuzu too. He is an ace pilot.
(user posted image)

Jin - He's the joker of the group and always has something to say. Hes also a decent pilot.
(user posted image)

Bryan - He seems to be the loner and moody guy of the group (there has to be one in every mecha series like this).
(user posted image)

Airi - The manager of the group. It seems every one takes the que from her.

As for what I think about this anime series... I have many mixed thoughts about it. First, I will comment on its plot and animation style. I think that this is a blatant copy of many other mecha series. The animation style seems to be much like Gundam SEED. Even the title is written like Gundam SEED. Also, the character Tea looks very close to Lacus Clyne from Gundam SEED, even so much so many people in other chat rooms / forums have been calling Tea that. Also, the plot of the organic/mecha thing has been played out before. However, I think the plot seems a bit like Eurika 7 mixed with Evangelion and a touch of Gundam X thrown in there. Nothing really new for a mecha anime.

Although, the plot seems to be a bit of a flop there are some half decent voice actors. Kaori Nazuka (Tea) was in Inukami!, Fruits Basket, and more. Her most notable voicing was in .hack//Roots and .hack//GIFT as Shino and .hack//SIGN and .hack//Unison (OAV) as Subaru, Bottle Fairy as Chiriri, Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion as Nunnally Lamperouge, Di Gi Charat Nyo as Usuzu-chan, Eureka 7 as Eureka and many others. Miyu Irino as Tokito Aizawa has been in D.N.Angel as Daisuke Niwa, Fafner as Kouyou Kasugai, Spirited Away (movie) as Haku, and Tsubasa Chronicle as Syaoran as well as some others but most must will known him from Spirited Away and Tsubasa Chronicles as they were huge hits. Akemi Kanda as Misuzu has been in Witchblade as Rihoko, Negima!? as Asuna Kagurazaka, Kamisama Kazoku as Meme Kamiyama (even tough Meme really doesn't have many lines I liked this series so I threw it in), and many preformances in OP and ED like Inukami! ED-Aice5, Negima! OP2, OP8, ED1, and ED4, and Negima!? OP1, ED1, and ED2. Frig the list goes on and on and on of all the anime these people have been in especially Aya Hisakawa as Serena, the number of anime series and non-anime series she has voiced takes up several pages.

The OP and ED are characteristic of any Japanese anime in the sense that it is good. You definitely want to listen to it at least once. However, the in episode music isn't as good. It gets you going and into the mood but there are also some very annoying songs.

Overall I will stick with the anime series for a bit longer and see how it goes, especially since there is only 12 episodes. However, my impression currently is about a 6/10 so I hope it picks up soon.

BTW Serena is yummy lol =).

Surprise, surprise; I am quite surprised.

I think it looks alot like a Zoids: Chaotic Century copy. I am suprised that no one else has mentioned this.

Of course, I watched zoids on cartoon network... who am I to say!
But it does vaguely follow a similar pattern. Misterious girl and powerful machine, who incidently meld togeather, need a normal person to pilot them... they save [major place/country/planet].

Eh? Has anyone else ever seen it?
