i just watched the final episode... at last.. after a long wait... and so another end to one of my watch list series...

for me, the ending sequence quite fair and nice with me. but overall, the sequence kinda slow, and i actually expecting action / more iDOLs fighting. and this series quite slow at the beginning. and yeah Barbo-sama... i' have the same opinion, there's still much question(s) actually still unanswered in the series and the ending seems quite rushed. i think they spend too much episodes on some rather less important part of the story XD.

but oh well, at least the whole story quite fair to me . and i pity Haruka, losing her boyfriend (even it's a robot )... in the end, is the "aulyn" thing and iDOLs is supposed to be not exist? it seems that the earth is peaceful without them XD .

So that's the end to a mediocre mecha series. It was rather fun while it lasted. It was certainly entertaining at parts and Iori would just make me smile all the time due to her attitude and stubborness . Now would I recommend this to anybody I was talking to? Most likely not. Probably wouldn't even bring it up.

Since it is made by the same group of people who did Mai Hime and Mai Otome, it's kinda hard not to compare this show to both of those series. Now in both of those shows there was a major plot point that greatly affected everything in the rest of the show. For Mai Hime it was the death of Takumi (did not see that one coming) and in Mai Otome it was The take over of Windbloom . It seems they tried to keep to that same formula of mid-plot major event, but it just didn't have as much impact imo when Yukiho turned around and betrayed Mondenkind and Haruko. It sure was a surprise to me and a twist I like, but it just didn't have the same dramatic effect. I'm at least happy that Yukiho didn't at the end come back to Mondenkind (at least by her own will) and wanted to continue to be loyal to Chihiro.

And the story as a whole just wasn't all that compelling. We never really even find out how the idols were created, do we? and as a part of that why the 5 cores coming together brings about Aulyn? And the main character they gave us, Haruka, ended up getting quite annoying with her always goody-goody style of always wanting to be with Imber. I guess that sounds kinda weird the way I described it, but I couldn't really think of another way. I ended up just getting really tired of that. Iori was a much more entertaining character to follow imo. But I guess considering that the anime is based on a game about idols (not the mechanical kind, but the flesh and blood and pop-style kind) they did an alright job of coming up with a completely original concept for the story.

Now I'm gonna go erase this series from my hdd cause I will have no reason to ever watch this series again.

Note: little annoyance with the subbing that they continued to sub Aulyn as "Auryn", despite the fact that right in the episode it spells it as "Aulyn" with an l and it's clearly visible. Not like something you have to focus in on. Nothing big, but something I just kept thinking about while watching.

So the final episode was finally subbed I gotta admit that I have totally changed my mind and just cannot recommend this anime. It was to boring at too many different times. Though I will view the last episode since well I have to finish it after so much time invested. I will critique and then finally put this one to bed for good...

I dunno what to say about this one. The ending was almost rushed it seems. Could it be the anime producers hurried it, or is the Manga really that bad? To the series, for the most part it was enjoyable.

There is no manga to Idolmaster Xenoglossia. It was based on a game called The Idolmaster, but that game's story really has absolutely nothing to do with the anime aside from using the same characters pretty much.

Still have to watch the last ep so I will post my comments on it later.

*cough*...was i seeing things or was Azusa making out with her "dad" in the episode 21 flashback?    I know shes adopted and all but doesnt anyone else think its kinda weird? Or maybe i got it completely wrong and they arent related in any way, some subs can get misleading...not that i dont love the subs...just saying...

Nah Tweeker I don't think that they are actually related they were just test tube babies used for experiments if I remember correctly and they needed someone to call mama and papa...

Episode 23 and 24 seemed really mediocre to me. Take for instance Haruka confesses to Imber and all of a sudden he expels the psycho Chihaya and catches Haruka in his hands a very anti-climatic renioun. You could see that scene coming from a mile away with a blindfold on.

I guess the one redeeming value that came from these episodes is that you got some decent mecha action from Iori and also umm hmm well then there was... yeah that was just about it I guess from episode 23. Episode 24 was a bit more comical to me as you get to see an insane Chihaya plot to become one with Imber. She rambles on about becoming pure white, marshmallow, white stuff, if you didn't understand the context then well... anyways Yukiho sleepy head-chan got some really odd yuri action from Chihaya (nothing to get excited over I regret to say) and ultimately helped the insane one to merge somehow (not quite sure on the details) but I suppose she can now try and be one with Imber...

So just two more episodes and I can stop forcing myself to watch this series any longer. I had to clear some hard drive space and had to make the tough decision to <select all idolmaster files then delete> It left me in despair... all right that is a lie I did it without a second thought XD...
