Nagasarete Airantou revolves around Ikuto Tōhōin, the main protagonist, who ran away from home because of a fight with his father. Due to a life-long dream of wanting to board a ship, Ikuto decides to take a vacation until the ship is suddenly hit by a huge storm throwing Ikuto overboard. He wakes up the next day to discover he is on an uncharted island populated by girls. Ikuto finds himself to be extremely popular on the island due to the fact that no other men are currently on the island. In effect, nearly the entire island starts going after Ikuto to become his bride, all except a young girl named Suzu and her extremely old grandmother. Suzu's grandmother decides that Ikuto will live with Suzu for the time being, but Ikuto initially finds it difficult to adjust, especially with the entire island population after him night and day. Meanwhile, Suzu does her best to protect Ikuto from the masses. However, Ikuto still does not want to stay on the island any longer, and soon after arriving, he attempts to leave by boat, but discovers the island is completely surrounded by whirlpools and thus it is impossible to leave. With no other choice, Ikuto starts to settle into life on the island.

Pretty much I enjoyed the anime but since the manga is kind of on-going the anime ending kind of felt a bit off if you will.

Aside from that it did follow bits and pieces of the manga with the episodes though.

Anyways it was a nice harem series that pretty much was kind of out there, but plausable though. I mean ending up on an island that happens to have all females and being the only guy on the island kind of has the high natural ecchi factor alone. Why because every girl on the island kind of wants him in bed, and few just want him dead.

It's funny that you watched this show recently nijlandp, because the other day I was thinking of giving it a re-watch Matter of fact, I don't think I watched it until the end so I'll have to remedy that in the future. This is one of those lighthearted shows to watch for the comedy while not taking the plot too seriously.

So after all these years a few days ago i decided to give this series a rewatch. And even now it still is fun too watch as the jokes still work.
The story itself ain't strong but the use of different characters with their situations just is fun to look at.
Machi is just dangerous and pretty good indeed. Together with Ayane there is always something funny to happen. A compilation with those two is worth watching alone
Suzu however makes the biggest impact. At first she is just a bit of a ditzy girl but after a few episodes it is clear she is changing. She really is starting to like Ikuto and even though he wants to go from the island she is supporting him.
Ikuto fortunately also improves after the first episodes with his annoying nosebleeds.
Too bad we never got a second season in which we would a final resolve about Suzu and Ikuto. However as this was comedy too begin it was to be expected.

For all you people who didn't see this series: if you like comedy just try it.
After all these years i am giving this series a solid 7.5 out of 10 as it is able to keep on being entertaining.

I never got to finish watching this series.. I think there are like 28 episodes.. and I think I only got to like.. maybe episode 19 or 22?.. Idk, somewhere in there I stopped.. I've been dying to finish it.. but dont have the time.. :/

i seen all of it i thought they make a new season i would like that to see all girl chase after ikuto

You know from my guess I think she was one of the girls that worked in the field a whole lot. I'll have to check the manga again for her name though.

Although it does have its potential for a second season, but it might be hard to do now that they pretty much did the whole storyline. Although they could always add a bit more antics that have been done in the manga if they wanted too. Aside from that I have no idea what they can do with a second season though.

Hope there is atlesat A movie or n OVA, doubt a second season. There's so many things un-answered from the ending. Will Ikuto choose Suzu, And will he try to get them out of the island... but o well, until news where stuck with that ending. How was the manga ending different?
