Well.....I was meant to finish this series yesterday but my friend had a change of plan and we ended up cooking a feast and watching Dario Argento's Deep Red (aka Profondo Rosso), Abel Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant (the original) and Demon Knight (the 3rd Tales from the Crypt movie). So ended up going home late and because he's doing filming at the weekend including Friday (he's studying to become a film director) and me becoming more busy from next weekend and onwards until uni finishes in the middle of December......we decided that I'll make a DVD of this series for him to watch for next year most likely and now I'm left with doing this solo, which is a good thing as I now can go at a faster pace. I only watched 1 episode yesterday and today I don't have uni, so I watched from episode 13 to 20....just now. Its a good series and I felt sorry for Huang......the fact that his lover died so that he won't have to be killed by the organisation too. Oh, I already know about Huang's death when I was checking out the DTB Season 2 thread or was it when I was checking the MAL or AniDB page for season 2 but it hasn't happened so far, so its most likely gonna happen in the last few episodes......awwwwww I've grown to like him as well. This series started off as a simple 8/10 but now its definitely 9/10 from me. I remember hearing stuff of how people didn't like this series and ended up dropping it whilst it was airing......how unfortunate because this really is good stuff.

I'm gonna watch the rest of season 1 and the OVA before starting on X'amd: Lost Memories.

This week is a MEGA-MARATHON for me and I will definitely SUCCEED!!! XD

EDIT:

I just finished off the first season and the last couple of episodes were kinda weird and perhaps slightly of a letdown but since I know there's a 2nd season around the corner and I've heard good things about it. I will check it after my "mega-marathon".

I'm not sure what to give this but I really did like it.....its either a 8 or 9 out of 10 and therefore, I will be giving this a 9/10.

I'll watch the OVA sometime today.....I'm going to do some studying as a form of break from this marathon.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my mega-marathon includes the completion of DtB S1 + OVA, Baccano + OVA, Spice and Wolf S1 & S2, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (2nd season) and Boogiepop Phantom. My intention is to finish all of this whilst studying before or during next Monday.

I just saw a spoiler when I was opening this thread.......................WHY !?!?!?!?!?!?

Anyways, I only watched the first 2 episodes when it originally aired and so I've decided to do it as a marathon with a friend and finish it off in 2 sessions.

We only watched episodes 1 to 11 in the first sessions and I soooooooooooooooooo WANTED to do more but the unenthusiastic lazy fat-ass was like we shouldn't watch any more because he wants it to sink in and that it feels more natural to do so........this is the only dispute I have with him........I can watch for way more longer and he also needs breaks and naps during the sessions. Anyways, the next session is on my day off, which is Tuesday next week, we'll most likely finish season 1 and the OVA (episode 26).

I wish my friend can have stamina like me.

AHHH this final episode (26) was set before episode 25, as Huang should be dead and Kirika already knew BK-201/Hei was "Lee". But still it pissed me off when Kirika finally found out it was Lee and had her memory erased by the pink gas! I really want to see those two together, as when they went out with each other for the day when Hei was using his alter-ego Lee, they "hit it off" pretty good! Well I am very satisfied with this anime, especially with the characters. Hei is by far one of the best characters I have seen out of all anime I have watched, besides Alucard from Hellsing, and Zaraki from Bleach
Does this anime have a manga that was a continuation from ep 25 or not?

Edit: ok, i took a look at it... was an ok episode, more of a light comedy feel to it rather than the serious atmosphere the series had; too bad that Hei was found out but then the cat dropped the container .... i really loved the expressions everyone had on in that scene

So...........Darker Than Black episode 26. Can't say I expected that at all. I had no clue there was a special episode with the last DVD that only recently came out until I just saw it was released subbed. Won't get a chance to watch it till tomorrow, but an excellent surprise to see more of one of my favorite shows.

hey guys, i have the soundtrack but im having real difficulty finding this one song, so i think its not on the soundtrack. Umm its on episode 10 (the song comes on many episodes but sinc ei love episode 10 so much we shall use that), at abotu 18:06 it starts playing...that music...im not even sure it a song, but if anyone knows where i can get the full version of that music (if there is one)..that would be awesome!

I noticed that before and I think I commented on it somewhere in this episode, though it took me a while until I finally noticed his room number was 201. I probably didn't notice till ep 15+ or so.

Though the 201 most likely refers to 2nd floor, 1st room. That's how all the rooms in my universities buildings are set up at least so that's how I figured it was.
