LOLs!! This anime series was probably anticipated but still...LOLs!! i cant believe they actually made an anime out of this....although childish as it looks its actually kinda fun and funny....lols...wonder if this is to increase anime popularity by draging mmo players into it as well? lols....still...not a bad anime...reminds me abit of rave master

Heyas,

Well I watched episode one and it answered many question I have had. Like "What has Skeletor been up to since they canceled that last He-Man cartoon?" The answer? Well judging from the OP and the start of the episode his villainy has spread from Eternia and he now has his sights set on Maple World.

It also seems Swipper the Fox of Dora the Explorer fame also plays a role as(you guessed it) a thief. He turns up at the end of the episode.

Meh I really don't know what to think of this. Although since I don't play the game the show isn't targeted at me anyways. Quality seems good though as expected of Madhouse.

Update on Maple Story's premier date:

"MapleStory Online RPG Inspires TV Anime in October
TV Tokyo has announced that it will start broadcasting an animated series based on MapleStory, the Korean fantasy massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG), on Sunday, October 7 at 8:30 a.m in Japan. The series will take over the timeslot that currently runs Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. TV Tokyo posted the news on Anime X, its anime-centered website for mobile devices. The Japanese game version's maintainer Nexon had previously announced that Madhouse Studios (Last Order: Final Fantasy VII, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust) was to animate."

Well, looks like now we know when Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann will end specifically

True. Just shut up and leave it to Madhouse. They do good work like Black Lagoon, Claymore, and Beck Mongolian Chop Squad to name but a few. I'm sure they will bring us a fun fantasy story by making a MS anime.

My thoughts exactly! For some reason the art reminds me of PaRappa the Rapper, I know it's not that similar, but when I see it, that always comes to mind

lmao, I'd imagine it to be chibi too.. although I think they might whip up some new things... I can't see any other way they'd make the story work besides adventurers questing the maple lands looking for... nothing I guess.

Unless they make a Zakum spirit the Overlord the Maplers have to fight against to save the maple world, I see no vantage points into watching it.
