Sora Kake Girl

Category: TV
Genre: Action, Drama, Ecchi, Science-Fiction
Year: 2009
Studio: Sunrise

The veteran anime studio Sunrise has opened a teaser site for a new project called Sora o Kakeru Shōjo [Sora Kake Girl or "The Girl Who Leapt Through Space (the Heavens)"]. The site provides no other information besides a promise that more details will be given in October 10. On that day, the official homepage will open, and there will be coverage in Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype, Tokuma Shoten's Animage, and Gakken Kenkyūsha's Animedia magazines. The project's title is an apparent wordplay on Toki o Kakeru Shōjo or The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Yasutaka Tsutsui's classic novel that was adapted into several live-action television series, live-action films, manga, and an acclaimed anime film.

Hmm, a bit of a rushed "everyone is happy" ending, but nothing I didn't expect. Although, tbh, waiting for it to be subbed was pretty excrutiating... Still, a nice little series with a cool battle royale, something to just turn your mind off and watch.

Well it's because Nami was spooked rather easilly with all of the negative things people said about her when she was a model at one point. I think that had something to do with her kind of wanting to kill everyone in sight. Although it looks like she might be too stunned to fight back for a while. Although from the looks of things they could do another season to "fix" Nami if they feel like doing so.

Ah well I would be good if they make one last episode to wrap up some of the loose ends they have which makes me wonder what will happen in a year or even ten years time???

Still I'm pretty much laughing at Neveral when he told Leopard to shoot he reveal his face, which made me think "YOU'RE NOT FREAKING DARTH VADER FOR FREAKING SAKE!!!", that was priceless and rewarding to see Leopard JUMP to shoot him too!!! lmfao I loved that moment the best!!!

Nami is by all means seems to be the only "casualty" in this, I wonder what will she do now. Also what ever happened that cause her to be frieghten of people, I know that she was famous and that probably one of the reason but I never saw any proper stuff explaining her current situation.

I agree that it was a fairly unsatisfying ending. Nerval relenting on his plans happened too quick and without any real reason behind it, Leopard went evil and back again like a lightswitch, and Nami's family issues were never really resolved. The only thing that really clsoed well was the three main girls coming together as friends. They had a nice story structure built up there but then it seems like they ran out of time to tell it properly. Oh well, still a good series over all providing some good comedy and mecha, and some great girls.

Well at least the series kind of ended on a nobody major died kind of end to it. Although it seemed that Nami was kind of still in shock after being sent aboard Benkei though.

In any case at least things were pretty much wrapped up to the point of there will be no such thing as a second season for this. In any case it was a fun series to watch never the less.

Hmm, that was one anticlimactic ending. So, basically Akiha exorcises the dark side out of Leopard and saves the day. Nami winds up being taken away by Benkei. That bit strikes me as rather odd: why didn't Kagura take Nami back with her like she promised?

I do get the urge to rewatch Toki O Kakeru Shoujo now , which is a good thing wink.gif

Allright after finally seeing episode 25 I have to admit it's getting pretty interesting, and confusing at the same time. It seems that Nami is basically Akiha's polar opposite in this entire matter. Not only that, but it seems like the sides in the war kind of switched once Leopard went full "dark" against everyone. Although from the end of this episode it seemed that he might try and find a way to revert back to his old self beofre its too late.

Although I kind of like how Nami game the line that she was the "Black Version" of what Akiha is considered to be.

Ok enough with the personal off topic comments even if it can be related to your personal life. Alirght fellas. tongue.gif

Well anyways for episode 24 I have to say I was fairly supprised on how Leopard's dark side pretty much took over him fairly quick like that. I mean it felt like it was a bit rushed if you ask me.

In any case the bigest supprise was finding out that Leopard is something close to being Neval's son. I mean sure they have te same setup, but it's kind of wierd to hear something like that though. blink.gif

Do you have any siblings close to your age?

How long would you put up with your brother or sister acting like nami.

Trust me I have a brother and a sister. It spats like that happen all the time when one of us starts acting funny.

It doesn't mean you don't love them but your not going to put up with them behaving that way

All of Nami's sisters make very clear that they don't care about her. Do you do that with your siblings as well then?

Still they don't even ask themselves why she behaves that way. They don't appear to care the slightest bit abut Nami, pure and imple, so her anger towards her sisters is understandable.
