Finally got around to finishing this today. I liked the first half of the series, but the second half lost its mojo. I think the odd setting enchanted me early on, but the effect wore off mid-way and nothing else really carried the series. It felt like it was just going through the motions to get it over with, and it wasn't serious an anime enough for me to get attached to the characters. The 45 min format was excellent for the filler-esque and introduction eps, but 45 mins of a jumpy plot for the last half of the series was pretty difficult. Not satisfied with the incredibly open ending either. All that said, I'd probably watch a 2nd season for the filler eps, which were enjoyable. 6/10 from me.

Really like the 45-min monthly ep format though. I think some series could definitely benefit from the approach, and hope more use it in the future.

yeah certainly does feel like it will continue later on
and i agree that it was a long wait between episode but its not as bad as others like gundam unicorn and hellsing ultimate

so in the end no one gets to marry him and all are simply chasing him in mob form
in some says thats a quite envious situation but then he wont be able to choose it seems
well it was fun and there were alot of hilarious moments and i would definately wanna see a sequel but it doesnt seem like its set in stone

Ok with how 13 turned out it seems it gave an ending, but for some odd reason I get this feeling that they will continue on with this in a later OVA series. Just like how the original Tenshi series was I guess.

Never the less even though this was an OVA series it was pretty good to watch, but the only setback would be the time between episodes and that's about it.

This is an OVA series so it'll be out when it'll be out. As for epiosde 3 it probably din't have a good torrent to get onto the site here.

yeah its true its lost some of the pacing i had before but i still like this series over all
and i watched some of the preceding series kinda recently can really see where it all comes from i guess like tenshi and kenshi look ridiculously similar

I think they ruined it with eps 10 and 11. The pacing and flow of the anime has gone from great to AWFUL. All of the earlier eps felt like 45 min eps, this feels like they took 5-10 mini-stories and pasted them together because the transitions are so bad.

These last two eps feel like tales of the abyss (which I dropped).

haha yeah its sure one hell of a harem
you could almost count all the girls at that school as well
creating his own nation on the swan was rather unexpected but i guess thats how he dodged getting married to aura
although i would have stuck with aura if it was me lol
well i suppose his country doesnt have laws against polygamy

Well episode 10 is now out and they gave a few more references to characters in the Tenchi OVS series. Not only tat, but hearing that he stated that his father was a rather amusing fellow is classic.

Aside from that it would seem that Kenshi somehow made the Swan into his own nation. I'm guessing he did that of the most obvious of reasons. Never the less with that it would seem that his ability of harem creation could rival his older brother in a sense. That's if he says anything about him of course.

Alright after seeing the 9th episode I'm now getting very strong dejavu vibes as of late. I mean a few parts in this episode reminded me of things that happened in the Tenchi OVA and the Universe series at times here. For a stand alone spin-oof of the OVA, it's doing a better job than another spin-off that happened with the OVA a long time back.

Still for some reason I kind of like Doll in this series. I guess it's because she has the look and manerisms of C.C. from Code Geass.

The series isn't airing regularly on TV like most shows, that's why its not coming out one episode a week. It's been coming out in groups of two, and the fansubbers are grabbing them from the DVD and/or Bluray where available.

Anyway~

Really enjoying this series, Love the action, the comedy, and the possibility for romance. Makes me want to watch the Tenchi series again too...
My personal favorite of all the girls right now is Aura. She's just too damn cute/hot (depending on if she's in her 'weak state' or not). I kinda like the white-haired chick too, but the way they draw her face REALLY throws me off. Just don't like it...
