haha yeah its sure one hell of a harem
you could almost count all the girls at that school as well
creating his own nation on the swan was rather unexpected but i guess thats how he dodged getting married to aura
although i would have stuck with aura if it was me lol
well i suppose his country doesnt have laws against polygamy

Well episode 10 is now out and they gave a few more references to characters in the Tenchi OVS series. Not only tat, but hearing that he stated that his father was a rather amusing fellow is classic.

Aside from that it would seem that Kenshi somehow made the Swan into his own nation. I'm guessing he did that of the most obvious of reasons. Never the less with that it would seem that his ability of harem creation could rival his older brother in a sense. That's if he says anything about him of course.

Alright after seeing the 9th episode I'm now getting very strong dejavu vibes as of late. I mean a few parts in this episode reminded me of things that happened in the Tenchi OVA and the Universe series at times here. For a stand alone spin-oof of the OVA, it's doing a better job than another spin-off that happened with the OVA a long time back.

Still for some reason I kind of like Doll in this series. I guess it's because she has the look and manerisms of C.C. from Code Geass.

The series isn't airing regularly on TV like most shows, that's why its not coming out one episode a week. It's been coming out in groups of two, and the fansubbers are grabbing them from the DVD and/or Bluray where available.

Anyway~

Really enjoying this series, Love the action, the comedy, and the possibility for romance. Makes me want to watch the Tenchi series again too...
My personal favorite of all the girls right now is Aura. She's just too damn cute/hot (depending on if she's in her 'weak state' or not). I kinda like the white-haired chick too, but the way they draw her face REALLY throws me off. Just don't like it...

kenchi's abilities never seem to run out of surprises it seems
aura is still wayyy cute personally im rooting for her
i imagine he can fight better than doll as well
but we might just see that next ep
also i liked the thing at the end of the pv lol

Kenshi is Tenchi Masaki's half brother from his father, I don't think it's that important to know that this is a spinoff though because the story pretty much stands on it's own. I will say I loved the little hypnotism thing they did with Washu, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she is the reason he ended up there.

he is not a direct relation to tenchi - same father - no connection to the jurai bloodline. however most of those around him or that have come in contact with him through the masaki household are of the jurai line. also we can't forget the presence of washu and ryoko.

personally, i feel that his power is on this scale because of being trained by strong individuals; which has boasted his powers. if left alone without the strong surroundings, he would have been like tenchi at the start of it all.

So it seems I'm not the only one that thinks that this is a story that is somehow related to the Tenchi OVA it seems. I guess it might be the family name he has, and saying he's surrounded by "sisters" that can or can't work around the house.

Aside from that it kind of dawned on me by this episode though. Although I guess you can say that the series is picking up rather well.

It's obvious that kenshi was trained by his grandfather in this OVA, but in the original anime (Tenchi from Tenchi Muyo!), he wasn't that good at all this stuff if that is at all the same person. Same hair color and style... He was good in the end, however, to bring out the light wings, so maybe this is after that point where he's able to focus like crazy?

Or maybe Washu's experiment made him better?

yeah think so too liked Aura's chibi face when she turned away during her confession.

man took them a while to get some action and when it came man 45mins of it at that!

I still find it hard to believe why fansub groups havent picked this up. =/

I am thankful for the two groups that picked it up but its still a lot slower at releasing then what im used to.
