The seinen moe 4-panel (4-koma) manga, K-On! by Kakifly will be getting animated for a Spring 2009 premier. The manga was serialized in the seinen moe 4-panel manga magazine Manga Time Kirara, and is also serialized in the seinen moe 4-panel manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Carat.

The story follows four girls who try to rescue their high school's light music club, even though they are all novices who cannot play instruments or read music.

Finally i finished watching this series and may i say that it was stupid of me to let this series lie in the dust. Sure it wasn't a grand tale to be told but where it shines is in having such likeable characters. They are stereotypical but since it is done in such a friendly and cute way it doesn't matter. Mio may be the best there is with her cool attitude but being a scaredy cat.
The music itself is prominent although a few more different songs would have been nice. Still for a beginning band it is to be expected that they don't have an extended repetoire.
Animation is very good as it should be. And then we come to the openings and ending. The ending is strong indeed but why is azusa missing after her introduction. A different ending when she joins would have been better. The openings are a bit weaker but still as good as they can get.
In all a very good series with a few mistakes. I give it 7.5 out of 10. Now for the second season

Well I don't think this series was hyped ... well i am not following animes very closely but this series is just great. I like the pace and how they give importance to enjoying life and music rather than going deep into music stuffs. One thing good about this anime is that it is clean ...... lately amount of ecchiness has grown so much and nudity is not even getting censored anymore making it more difficult to watch anime with people around you . Well i am enjoying the anime a lot and find it difficult to stop after watching 2 3 episode(currently at episode 9 ...... few more to go ) .... still i do it so that i can enjoy it for few days I hope second season is also as good as first.

Hi ..... well just a bit late i think but i just started watching Kon. Its awesome and full of comedy .... somehow the poster gave a feeling that its oriented towards girls so didnt start it earlier but i fount it quiet amusing now. Watched four episode in a row,all i had till now, others in queue as i wasnt able to stop after watching first episode ... looking forward to other episode and new season as well. Great anime for all moe fans . Very cute character and mio is the best.

I was thinking just that

I feel giving the mic to azusa and playing her version of "let's go" would have made the ova slightly better

It was a good ep with the only bad point that we again didnt see a performance. But the rest was K-ON as its best and it was good to see all of them again.

Now I really want to see the second season ^^

A funny episode but I was expecting to see Yui&co. playing live well... more then 5 seconds ^^'

I was disappointed by this... new episode(?) On there other lives they really stood out, This was just shoved off screen.

Well at least this time it shows that the actually got a real gig outside of school and whatnot, but still I wantted to see a full live version of that.

Anyways the good thing that came out of it was they now have a band to cover for and vice versa it seems. Not only that but Azu-nyan not even minding the tiger ears, until Yui mentioned them.
