I enjoyed
  • The non-annoying uses of CGI
  • Saku's mother
  • Saku
  • Fumie
  • The presentation of Star Information seemed well integrated and non-preachy
  • The detailed skies were really nice

I would have liked to see more introspection on Mihoshi's part.

Although the ending doesn't conclude anything.

Personally, I was always wishing for Saku+Fumi.  rolleyes.gif

Hi,

I actually dislike girls like Mihoshi. dry.gif Without her character beeing somewhat bothersome this anime could have been nice.

But what's even worse: the subbing stops with the credits. There's a lot of conversation not subbed. That's sad. But I'm only at ep4. Maybe it gets better with ep5 and on. blink.gif

I should finished this on Monday night but I was too tired....got half-way through episode 11....so I finished it off today (tuesday....its midnight here now) by watching the rest of episode 11 and 12. rolleyes.gif

Brilliant series overall, it kept me entertained throughout the whole thing and started up a genuine interest towards stars during this marathon. This is a funny, heartwarming romance comedy added with the hoshi-fever. I loved it and deserves an incredibly high 9/10....if not 10/10. tongue.gif

I liked all the characters, didn't hate any of them and I liked all their relationships with each other. I particularly liked the pairing of Oumi and Roma.......Oumi is too kawaii!! XD tongue.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif

I'm hoping this will get a 2nd season. I know of the DVD specials that need to subbed as the DVDs come out. I think there will be a 13th episode focusing on Oumi's and Roma's past because I saw on one of the credits at episode 11 or 12 about it........I hope it comes true. rolleyes.gif

I just watched the first episode.....it was incredibly enjoyable and I'm pretty giddy about doing a marathon on this series. I'll most likely finish it tomorrow after uni. Gonna watch episode 02 now. rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

Hmmm best sub group for this series.... well I started watching it with AnimeOne. I think they are the best as they have subbed lots of other series in the past. But they are a few eps behind, I don't think they finished subbing the entire series yet. Another good one is Koharubi. They are a relatively new sub group but I think they are doing a great job so far.

Somehow I thought of an other ending, like Saku admitting that he loves Mihoshi or something. You know, the typical ending.
At least I have thought that something "bigger" would be happening in the end, like Hime finally confessing to Saku or something.
But the series ended how it began, with Mihoshi on the roof looking for members ^^

The (ex-)president is kinda slow in love, too. Even though he has such a fine woman interested in him.

I really hope they will do a second season because this anime was really fun.

I too thought of an other ending. This just felt that they wanted to have an open ending so that you can imagine yourself what could have happened. Sadly i don't think that works for this series. During the series you get excited about what would happen between Saku, Mihoshi and Hime and all the others. Now they just left a lot of unfinished threads in the story and it doesn't feel right (for me at least). I also hope that they make a second season and that they finish it in a proper way. To me this last episode was fun to watch but a big disappointment as an ending for the series.

funny thing as far as anime endings go this one doesn't feel like an ending at all...
is more like they had to hit a hiatus in the middle of the production of a 24 (or more) episode series and decided to cut with the school year,...

anyway seems like the dvd will wrap some of the loose ends or possibly a second season is in planning ...

The last episode has all this typical Japanese bittersweetness about students graduating and leaving high school when spring comes. I get the idea that the Japanese really cherish their high school days a lot.

Yes, it was a sweet series. Hopefully there will be a second season.
