I'm still not entirely sure about whats going on, but I suppose this is how Ange enters the gameboard?!
Those girls in her classroom were quite cruel, jealousy can make ppl turn into something ugly. At least I am assuming that they are jealous of her, and thats why they all hate her.
Rosa is turning into an unlikable character, I don't understand why she's so harsh on Maria all the time...

Damn Rosa is really a shitty mother. Would I be her kid I would try to give her lots of pain too. Like killing her boyfriend or something.

If I would be in the situation like Ange was in school I woudlve beat them all up until they dont dare to come even near me ^^ But shes a woman, so of course she wont do that.

So they showed us why Ange lost her magical power. And now Eva is after her to kill her. But I dont think her hitmen stand much of a chance against the seven sisters ^^

Ok with after watching episode 21 I was a bit supprised that they died the classroom scene with Ange. Also, I'm a bit supprised that they rushed te whole thing of Ange resummoning all of the Seven Sisters without training for it once more. Although I think with the way things are going the remaining episodes will be on the game board from here on out, save at least one major scene in 1998 of course.

To kind of calrify your posting the blue haired girl is actually Lady Bernkastel. She was actually Rika herself, or so the claim goes as of late. In any case she did mention that she managed to win the so called "Endurance Matchup" against Lady Lambdadelta.

In any case expect the mind warping stuff that was in Higurashi, but showing a magical standpoint of the deaths here.

Also, I managed to read the Chapter X storyline, and quite frankly they need to do an OVA on that. The reason is they inadverently combined the two game boards and placed it all on the island. laugh.gif

I'm starting to pick up this series (since i loved cicadas cry). Up to ep5. I can't talk about much but i'll just see if you guys think i'm right. So when they all died, it was the twelve hr.. which explains why they were all having tea at the end of ep4. Then so battler didn't believed in betrice, and so everyone started to dissolve again. At the end of ep4, with the blue hair girl. Is she somehow related to cicadas cry? Since the girl in cicadas cry looked exactly the same (cept abit younger), could it explain the fact that she's a witch in cicadas cry too, and this storyline is in the same dimension as cicadas cry. Now, when she started talking to us, which was suppose to be "someone", could we be the purple hair girl in cicadas cry2? The one that always follow her around. Or is it that we're Battler, or one of the 18people. Have we been watching the eps from someones point (without BEING their point of view), or Maria, since she always know what's happening, and then the blue hair girl would be talking to us (Maria), and since we don't know that we're Maria, we won't understand it....
This is just some silly stuff i thought off while watching it. Like cicadas cry, i expect something twisted.
I've got no idea if i right/wrong or even making any sense..
Hold in mind i'm only up to ep5.
I just needed to rant since there's so much mysteries...

p.s blue hair girl also mentioned something about endurance match... I am guessing it was the event of cicadas cry, if this 2shows were somehow related due to the fact that the blue hair girl COULD had of been a witch in cicadas cry.

Well they kind of skimed over the whole part of Ange decided to deny magic since she was bullied by her classmates. In any case they did the whole Seven Sisters with Sakutaro right, and also Mammon being friendly with Ange.

From here on out it may look like it'll be going back and forth between the two time periods a bit more.

In any case this does touch on the Time Paradox Theory between Ange and Lambdadelta. Not only that, but they cut out her ground rules for Ange to stay in the game.

Well I can't wait for the end of this chapter since Meta Battler does the most idiotic move ever. I just hope they keep that whole thing intact.

Regarding the matter Lambdadelta told us at the end it was somehow clear that there is some kind of trick there. But I must say that it didnt come to my mind with the time jump.

I also reckon there is... mainly because it will, if Battler (or all of them, details) returns from Rokkenjima alive, either: A.) create a divergent time line (or should I say, it will continue with the ORIGINAL time line, and current Angie will be in the divergent one) or B.) things will reset and current grown-up Angie will cease to exist while Maria will get the chance to live her "normal" life as she should have... basically, things will be nullified because they never will have happened in the 1st place.

Will be interesting... since there'll probably be some 3rd option which isn't that obvious. You know, Legacy of Kain style, if you've ever played those. laugh.gif

This ep explained a lot, especially about the types of magic. But I wonder why they didnt tell how Ange lost her magical power. Maybe because of all that mobbing?

Sakutaro looked a lot better as an stuffed animal. He was cool like that, but now ...

Just like Ange Im asking myself how Maria still could defend Rosa, even though she saw the receipt of the hot springs. This is like a punch in the face for me.

But why the hell is the stuff animal talking back oO In my opinion that is just a weird illusion from Maria. After all everyone knows that she isnt right in her head to begin with.

Actually it's really the powers of "true magic" right there. In Umineko they kind of explain that there are a coup types of witches, and Maria would technically be considered as a White Witch, or White Mage if you want to go by Final Fantasy standards.

There's also the Endless Witches that no longer understand the concept of death. There are also two other types but I'm not sure if the anime will get into it at all. If they don't I'll explain them once the season's over.

Although if you look at it one way you'll see that she is a poor little girl that has no one to be with, but if you look at it through Maria's perspective she has a very good friend. Oh yeah I kind of wonder if they will show some more of Maria's "friends" as well since it's important that those 4 are shown or else it migh tnot make any sense at all.

I'm surprised that no one has brought up the new crossover from Higurashi yet....
Okonogi in Tokyo in 1986 = older version of Okonogi from Higurashi.

You mean Tokyo 1998, Ange's story takes place in 1998.

And citing Wikipedia:

He is identical in appearance to the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni character Okonogi, though their personalities differ slightly.
