u know i just finished this one i must say i love the character designs and animation, action wish was intense but it could of been tweaked alittle bit more too make it more intense, i must say this series was funny as hell, i dont care what everyone else says it was frickin funny, i mean come on what did u expect when u show the design of the character especialy blade lol plot wish it bounced around but i cant argue with that but the ending need some work i mean hell i was waiting patiently for cruz too pull off a " ill kick ur ass scene" somewhere in the end especially when his sister tried too kill him so many times, i didnt really like how the third guy saten just came in like that it threw the plot in a hoop especially when the pro. kepted on repeating himself over and over again when saten told who he really was, but overall love this series even its flaws

Well that was kinda anti-climactic. I mean I expected some rushing due to how they rushed the last couple episodes, but come on, I wanted a real fight...There were some good points in this episode, but Arclight was rather "disturbing" for the most part tongue.gif and I felt some yaoi incest themes going on near the end that I don't want to ever think about again......

Anyways, the series started off as a really bad comedy but it definitely improved over time and I'm quite pleased as to how the series turned out overall. Although it did get a bit repetitive at times, it maintained its ridiculous comedy and took everything else up a notch making it one of the more enjoyable series this season. They did, however, tone down the ecchi factor a little as the series went on which kinda saddens me since Blade getting worked up about lolis was really funny 95% of the times. Plot twists were also rather amusing and sudden in this show and made things even more enjoyable since guessing anything in this series was almost out of the question due to the series already ridiculous randomness.
Overall I give this a 7/10. Needless is really a series that you like or dislike from the start. If you like stupid funny stuff, this is definitely the show for you. If you felt like you lost brain cells after watching the first episode or two, this probably isn't your show.

That's the beauty of Shonen series... there's always room for more when you have such a disparity between good and evil. Who is to say that there isn't one other way for a new evil to arise? Needless villains could pop up anywhere!

On any account, it was such a typical finish that I cheered and cried and laughed. Because it was that obviously set-up.

Cruz was given a chance to prove his worth despite his sense of fail that ran through his system. Eve and Blade showed their "synergy" at full potential... and then defeated someone who everyone felt was savagely impossible to beat.

Anyone for a flashback? Let's think back to the days of DBZ... xD! ... Brolly's running through the land... Vegeta's crying tears of fail... and then, from some miracle, from which all miracles that involve the Z-Fighters ensue, they defeat the seemingly impossible! Everyone laughs and a joke is said as the credits roll... cut to staff. tongue.gif

Here's another one! YYH - Yu Yu Hakusho - There are like so many enemies that Yusuke fights... that completely own him... and yet through the miracle of "friendship", he gains the power to defeat the enemy that shouts something similar to "It can't be possible!!!"

One more... just for my personal indulgence... Yu-Gi-Oh... Yugi Moto was given his grandfather's card deck because his grandfather, who was supposed to be way, way better than Yugi at the card game, lost to Kaiba because of his overwhelming Blue-Ray display. xD! ... And then a mysterious power is awakened and Yugi defeats the undefeatable champion of the game without even a second look with the phrase being uttered from Kaiba anyway... "This Can't Be Possible!!!"

It's this story of overcoming impossible odds and fighting against things that are supposedly pre-determined are what make this genre an easy sell time and time again. One Piece, Naruto Shippuden, and Bleach aside... the Shonen series... has a pillar built on this kind of storytelling!

I love it! Love it Live!

Well I kind of liked how they ended the series with episode 24. Pretty much having it where Cruz actually survived because he was a superb tactician and didn't even know it fully until the very end. Never the less at least he now knows that and uses it to the best of his abilities even after the series ended.

In any case I wouldn't mind seeing a second season of this if it is possible of it happening of course.

First I thought this one really shonen type. Then it rather become joking about shonen genre.

It mix with seinen element so I guess they could be joking about how boring is shonen genre lately. cool.gif

Evolution of Hollywood film getting use ??? Nah !!!

Knowing this series it might pull off either a 2 24 season episodes or go for the grand total of 52 episodes total for the series.

In any case with 18 watched it seems that they don't skip out on the fanservice and making fun of the Shounen stylings of explain each and every single move that they pulled off. tongue.gif Well I guess that's what a Senien series tends to do I guess. biggrin.gif

Ok after watching episode 17 we finally get a full flashback on what happened to the Resistance in full detail this time, and we even see that his sister actually was working for Archlight to begin with. Heck with the way he's thinking I would of felt the same way and just no longer have the will to come back because of it.

Never the less it's kind of interesting that they pulled off the (in)famous "Sudden flashback before I die routine." ohmy.gif

Alca's still around in the 50s and 60s in terms of manga chapters.

(I personally want more Killer Girls, i.e., Rin. If they go beyond 24 episodes she might just show up?!)

you know, its cool anime, I love humor in it, ecchi part is very good, graphic is fabulous. Nevertheless, the plot doesn't make me go woah or even wow, thats just my opinion. Thinking about it, there are too strong enemies, slow plot, only one totally evil villain, killings of all those hot chicks in battles (I can't forgive them killing ponytail redhead and blond, such a waste tongue.gif). So I can't stop thinking, what if they could put these awesome graphics, humor and ecchi in some more... innovative scenario with good plot or at least moral motive (somebody can tell me why they are fighting there now they saved EVE? To bring peace? For revenge? Survival?), then in my opinion it could even match TTGL. As I said I consider it a good anime, but I really feel sad, as fan I'm overwhelmed by that huge potential it had. Hm I think sister will somehow get back on good terms with little brother, on the other hand author might as well kill her, he apparently likes to kill peppin-sans. And cant they win already for sake xD its getting annoying how they struggle almost in the same place all the time crushed by huge advantage of enemy

I understand what you are saying, but I think this title was intended to be focused on the fightings, gags and fanservices. Putting in too in-depth or complex plot could ruin the pacing of the show (or ended up with a half-assed plot), as well as having to remove or minimise the amount of gags and fanservices involve- which if it happens, it would simply lose the factors which attract us to watch this show.

Think of it this way, you only got 10 points to apply to the attribute of the show and it look somewhat like this at the moment:
Fightings 3, gags and silliness 2, fanservices 4, plot 1

If adding more points to plot, it would end up something like this:
Fightings 2, gags and sillies 1, fanservice 1, plot 6
...and the gags and sillies+fanservice could work against the plot and atmosphere if not executed well

One of the reason why many of us like this show is because we just "switch off our brain" and enjoy watching what's being thrown at us. Even if they did try to go more plot-focused, they are somewhat limited by the world-setting and honestly...I just do see how they can make the plot better than the current one they have now.

As for your question "why are they still fighting there not running away and after saving Eve?" The answer is quite simply- because they are the 'good guys' (or hot-blooded baka) and when 'bads guys' are standing in front of them, they do not turn their backs on them and run away with tails between their legs (especially not before giving some pay-back for what they suffered first- as it is the typical hot-blooded baka behaviour). They would just want to 'kick their ass' and they can win the fights or not, it is simply not part of the equation.
