2 words: Season 2.
The OVA is the real season 2 in my opinion. All the stuff with Suou that we saw was garbage. In fact, the OVA made the second season's plot look pointless beyond reason. I look forward to the remaining OVA episodes as they actually contain the feeling and sensation from the original Darker than Black. The preview for the second episode was an incredible teaser and more Yin is definitely welcomed given that she had an incredible lack of screen time in the second season. More Amber is welcome too, but I'm not getting my hopes up for too much of her appearance, if any.

On another note, what's odd about the OVAs is that they list the first season title: Kuro no Keiyakusha instead of Ryuusei no Gemini despite everyone calling this the Ryuusei no Gemini OVA.... tongue.gif

Finally the first OVa is out and it was just amazing.
You could actually see that Yin and Hei both are changing and it was great to see Yin trying so hard to get nearer to Hei while Hei beginns to become more and more like he was at the beginning of the second season.

The fights were great too even though I really wanted to see the battle in the hotel because these two guys looked like pretty good enemys.

so looking at anidb's site, there is supposedly an episode 13 that is suppose to come out today. In addition, checking the dvd/blu-ray release dates, it seems there are a total of 8 for a 12 episode series, this must mean we're going to get a lot of OVAs

I heard there is only going to be 4 OVA episodes. rolleyes.gif

As for the supposed episode 13....didn't hear about that untilu said it and I checked anidb as well.....certainly weird. wink.gif wink.gif

Houston we have a problem. No more DtB.

The Yin = alive theory is as good as dead. Yeah, she's probably dead. Another thing that can support this is the last scene in the OP, where two stars fall. Probably referring to Yin and Suou [red and blue stars], or if that's wrong, Izanami and Izanagi.

Though, it should be noted that the director said that Yin "seems" to be dead and Hei "seems" to be alive. It's all quite ambiguous but heavily leans towards Yin being dead.

I also realized that Izanami dies giving birth to Kagutsuchi in the myth so yeah. She's dead.

Though, that's the only thing that changes.

Final words: Hei is alive, Yin is dead.

Yeah, but don't rely on it too much. I could still be wrong about a few things, e.g. whether Yin is really dead or not etc. It's just the most plausible turnout based on the main plot element, the Mitaka Documents and the Japanese creation myth allegory in the show.

Marathoned this, then did brainstorming with /a/. [/a/ is pretty reliable when it comes to these things actually. Another instance is the Danzo sharingan hand.]

It all adds up if you analyze the subtle clues in the show. The Izanami - Izanagi myth is obvious. The Mitaka documents also say that Izanami's "womb" would bear fruit when the two meet, thus, Hagutsuchi.

The main plot element in this season are the Mitaka documents so all assumptions and deductions should be based off it. If the prophecy was fulfilled, then Hei didn't kill Yin, as far as that line of thought goes.

The most baww inducing thing was the line "The dream goes on" written on a piece of paper in the end which obviously refers to Suou.

How Yin became Izanami will be cleared up in the upcoming OVA[s].

I doubt it. In the end Hei was too late. Izanami's child was born [Shota Yin in coffin at the end]. The child's name is Kagutsuchi BTW.

If Hei killed Yin, the prophecy wouldn't have been fulfilled. Seeing as the prophecy was fulfilled, it's safe to assume Yin's still alive.

The flying cars are most probably Gate tech.

The jewel also is the meteor fragment. Remember when Hei got zapped and he first "lost" his powers? Well what I thought was that the Meteor fragment absorbed it through some form of reaction. This assumption is supported by Hei's powers [Star] returning after the meteor fragment was destroyed by Izanami. This could also explain the source of Suou's powers.

If what your saying is 100% correct which seems to be the case as it explains the Shota Yin. wink.gif This means this series really really really really NEEDS a 3rd season..........where did you get this INFO ?? rolleyes.gif

Hei, then I guess, killed Yin? to seal the pathway and from fulfilling whatever prophecy was suppose to occur.
