Tanaka Yukio, whose nickname was Koyuki, was an ordinary student who didn't have special interests or specialties. One day, because he helped a strange dog named BECK, he got to know the dog's master.

He used to think of a pop star, Kuniyoshi Chiemi, who came from Okinawa as the best artist ever. However, the shocking meeting with a charismatic band group, Dying Bride, something in his life began to change.

I'm very curious about the manga though, especially now that I know its still ongoing after the anime ended like two years ago... I wonder what becomes of BECK? Will they become huge rock superstar cliches? I sure hope not tongue.gif

Well the manga shows thier American tour that is left out of the anime for starters. Also they are not big rock stars yet. They continue to struggle but slowly but surely they are getting bigger and better.

Chiba is set to star in a kung fu movie directed by Jim Walsh at some point in the future. laugh.gif

I've just started to watch this anime... first I saw it on a pirated dvd set sold in a chinese market, bought by a friend of a friend... the english subs on it were so bad it made my head hurt, thank god there was a lot of english dialogue.
I saw until episode 12, I really like watching how Beck is deveoping, I thought Tanaka would end up being the lead singer though... but I suppose Chiba is better. Tanaka has a good voice, but when he sings in english his accent is too strong..

oh god, that reminds me of that part when he was singing with Maho, I forget the song, but it was sooo long and annoying. It was totally unnecessary for it to be so long!!

Anyhow I won't be able to watch this for a while now.. my sister will kill me if I watch it without her. I'm very curious about the manga though, especially now that I know its still ongoing after the anime ended like two years ago... I wonder what becomes of BECK? Will they become huge rock superstar cliches? I sure hope not tongue.gif

awesome anime! i watched it all in the span of 3 days ohmy.gif it was actually the opening that drew me into the show because the actual animation looked cool. my only gripe is the ending left unanswered questions for me. oh well, still awesome.

wow finally i found the thread for BECK. huh.gif
anyway the story for me is cool. its all about band who wants to perform and try to be successful. but the drawing of the serieas is kinda old school. you know what i mean. umm ryusuke minami is my favorite anyway beacause he can play the Lucille and unleash its true sound. hahahaha or should i say ultimate sound. laugh.gif

The anime was fun, real nice watch...BUT the only issue i had was that in
the end, when they are talking about their tour of america--man that could have been a whole new season--it felt rushed/ maybe budget out or cut short or whatever..maybe in a movie sometime?--though anything so short would not do justice to the story

Well your not supposed to ask where to download a licensed anime. Says so in the rules heh.

I'm surprised they even licensed the anime. English (engrish) is a big part of this anime already so we'll see how they do....

What about the music? I love it but I have no clue where to get it? Does anyone know? I was able to track down the opening theme though.

Overall, Beck makes me feel like an anime virgin again. Something I've only ever felt with Cowboy Bebop. It's definatly one of my new favorite anime! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Anyone else like it as much?

EDIT: Oh, yeah, was anyone else as surprised as me when those Americans started yelling the F word? That really surprised me....

go to gendou.com, it has pretty much every song there is......
