Since I saw that we now have a Type Moon thread, I thought I might as well do the thing a rabid Key fan like myself should do and create a thread all about the Key games. Don't know if this will really be useful, but it's here if you need it.

    Some general information on Key:
Key is a visual novel studio under the publisher Visual Art's that is known for producing dramatic and plot-oriented visual novels. Some of the main staff members include Jun Maeda (left Key in mid 2007) who was the main scenario writer, and worked on the music for most of Key's releases; Itaru Hinoue, the main art director who supplied character art for Kanon, Air, Clannad, and Little Busters! (Hinoue was co-art director for Little Busters! with Na-Ga, another of Key's artists); the majority of the music produced for the games has been by Magome Togoshi (left Key in late 2006), and Shinji Orito. - Key's official website.

Before starting Key, the founding members worked at the company Tactics under the published Nexton. There, they produced three games: Dousei, Moon., and One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e. A translation patch for One was released a few days ago.

Key has produced six games to date: Kanon, Air, Clannad, Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume, Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life, and Little Busters!, in that order. In the past there were translation projects for both Kanon and Air, but both have been discontinued as of now.

Planetarian was the first Key game to get a translation patch released for it. The Planetarian translation patch is available here.

Clannad is currently in the process of being translated. The Clannad translation project is viewable here.

Tomoyo After, and Little Busters! currently have no one working on a translation patch for them, but I'm sure a project will be started someday for Little Busters!, or so I hope.

Any general news on Key games, translation projects, or company updates can be posted here along with discussion on the games themselves, but discussion about the anime adaptations for One, Kanon, Air, and Clannad can go in their respective threads in the Anime forum.

Like the title already said this thread is for discussions about all things which are related to Type Moon (except for the hentai stuff). So and here's a short introduction for the people who don't know what Type Moon exactly is: Type Moon is a famous game development company, which mainly produces Visual Novels and also some light novels ( like Fate/Zero). They gained huge popularity due to their Visual Novels Tsukihime and Fate/ Stay Night, which both were adapted into anime and manga series(Melty Blood was also adapted into a manga series). Type Moon was founded by Nasu Kinoko and Takeuchi Takashi, at first Type Moon was only a small dojin group, but after they had huge success with the visual novel Tsukihime and also descend success with its sequels, Type Moon finally became a commercial company and celebrated a successful entrance with the visual novel Fate /Stay Night, which is nowadays one of the most famous Visual Novels worldwide.

    Official sites: and

Well and here's the first question, do you guys think that the main heroines from Tsukihime are playing a role in the rumoured Tsukihime 2? I've only heard that Ciel plays a minor role in it, and the only thing I've heard about Arcueid is that she's sleeping in the millennium castle, but I haven't heard anything about the others.

-So last but not least here is the rule for this thread, discussions about the h-scenes or anything related to that are not allowed-
